Leicestershire Police have a Facebook post in support of 'people going through the menopause'. They are getting stick for it,but not because they aren't using the word 'women',but for wasting time on SM instead of going their jobs.

‘Other PEOPLE ? 😂

err yes - men are allowed opinions too - so 'people' is accurate.

When talking about menopause, it's only women though, so using 'people' means you're 50% likely to be wrong.

I wonder if they’ll offer support for the teenage girls and women in their 20s having menopause artificially induced by doctors using puberty blockers, cross sex hormones and hysterectomy to relieve the constant pain the aforementioned hormone treatments bring?

It's amazing how these organisations are massively interested in the menopause, when it's an opportunity to signal wokeness by not using the word woman in relation to something which only affects women. Meanwhile in non woke reality, the menopause is dismissed and under researched, precisely because it only affects women. I was told by my GP surgery that "our doctors don't do the menopause" when I sought help, and was condescended to by a patronising young nurse manager instead. I eventually got help by attending a private menopause specialist clinic, run by a female GP who was unable to get support to run a free NHS clinic for women struggling with menopause. But police forces are busy supporting "people" in menopause. Thanks for nothing, boys

Are you saying that men know nothing about the menopause?

Just re-read - you’re not. Thank God.

Yeah have been saying fr years now, that if the word woman now simply means person/human, then we need a word for those of us that are one the female sex, because of course while we cannot be named, we do exist (funny really, TRAs say feminists are erasing transpeople, when it appears to be the other way around!) and need a way to name ourselves. Man seems fine to be used by men still. But if woman is so dirty and upseting, then we need new language.

Mind, it would take a grand total of a few minutes I would guess, if we did switch away from 'woman' to whatever other word..before TRAs started claiming they were this other thing too and its mean to say otherwise. When a lot of women started using 'female' instead, soon the TRAs were claiming to be female too. When a few women embraced the word 'cis', TRAs decided that they are actually 'cis women' Hmm Never ending.
