Does anyone remember when the guardian ran that 'first dates' piece where a lesbian was paired up with a trans woman and it caused a bit of a storm because some readers felt that it wasn't fair on the lesbian to be set up in that way?

And then later how the lady who was a lesbian said she was fine with it and therefore anyone who thought it might not be on was a bigot?

And has anyone ever wondered if that whole scenario might have been a TRA setup, and if it was one that the guardian may have had to be complicit in because how else could it have come about?

Oh yes, I kind of do remember. I felt so sorry for her. Clearly a set-up for more traffic. "Women's feelings don't matter, joyous click bait bros" would have been the Guardian take.

Her take would have been "Bloody Christ, what fresh hell? Better play it cool or I will be cancelled"
