Went up on Friday evening, was taken down yesterday evening.

AFAIK it didn't get much coverage when it went up (although there wasn't much time) but now there is lots of coverage.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank the trans activists to jump to it and complain about these posters. You are helping us achieve greater reach than we could ever have anticipated. And the people who pay for the posters get their money refunded. It's PERFECT.

Please carry on. PLEASE!

As it happens, given the abuse she is getting at the moment the "I heart JKR posters" might well be cheering her up.

However, in 6 months time she might be going through some kind of family issue (If you are in the 'sandwich' years there is always something), and she, or her children might not appreciate having her life rehashed on GMTV and every news site that needs click bait.

Yes the posters are put up by people who do genuinely 'heart JKR', but if it gets in the news they also trigger abuse.

I just hope the people who put up the posters think about this.

A bit like messaging to say "is it okay if I support you?" before tweeting "I support JK Rowling" on Twitter.

The whole point of the posters is to generate publicity beyond twitter.

I am genuinely surprised to read this, and the comments. I had been under the impression virtually nobody in Canada supported women.

Arabella I thought that Canada was a shining example of full-on anti-women thought policing too. Pleased to see that article and the comments.

Yes, it's heartening, isn't it?! Maybe UK women aren't so alone after all ...
