around the guidance for the Equality Act 2010, and is crowdfunding for a judicial review. Thought I ought to spread the word.

Agreed Aesopfable, I’m tired of these people, like the councils, backing down and then not actually doing anything to fix things.
Let’s get to court and have it out once and for all.

@334bu

Over 17 now. Bump!

Oh, excellent! Grin

@littlbrowndog

I can’t donate. Am skint

But if my heart and soul counts. Am donatin* that

I'll happily donate twice, once for me and once for you littlbrowndog.

This is so important to all of us and our daughters and granddaughters.
I can't think of a better way to spend my money to be honest.
And there are other ways to 'contribute', sharing the link etc

HashtagMakingMemories · 28/08/2020 23:43

Just contributed.

Also keeping a close eye on the forwomen scotland petition and will contribute to that if they need it. Fecking Scottish Government, hope they have their arses absolutely handed to them.

Datun · 29/08/2020 08:36

Bumping.

me too. Just linked an article from the Spectator on the very subject, to the Scotland Hate Crime thread
HashtagMakingMemories · 29/08/2020 08:58

Thanks highame.

I find this all so enormously stressful. I don't think those pushing these agendas have any concept of the massive impact they are having on women's lives. My feelings of wellbeing are so low at the moment as a result of all this - not so much for me but for my children (and all children) who have to navigate this bizarre and discriminatory world.

HashtagMakingMemories · 29/08/2020 08:59

Sorry - womens' lives I think? Not women's lives.

Apostrophe gurus can correct me... Wink

SheldontheWonderSchlong · 29/08/2020 09:16

Thanks for highlighting this - I've donated. Pretty broke, but I can't think of anything more important to protect the safety and dignity of me, my mum and my daughter in the future.
Good luck Ann, and thank you! Thanks

334bu · 29/08/2020 11:11

18 now just under 2 to go.

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 29/08/2020 12:07

Bumping!

Hadn't seen this until just now, but have helped towards the target.

Thank You Ann for doing this for all of us.

yourhairiswinterfire · 29/08/2020 12:10

Ugh. Just seen someone on Maya Forstater's twitter giving her an example of how the EA is meant to be interpreted regarding TW in women's spaces.

This cannot come quickly enough.

jhuizinga · 29/08/2020 13:16

Now up to 18.3k. This is such an important case.

everythingthelighttouches · 29/08/2020 13:53

Done

I know exactly what you mean. I think of them as terrorists.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 29/08/2020 14:45

Less than fifteen hundred to go now. Scrutiny is on it's way!

19,001 now.

Greencoatblue · 29/08/2020 17:49

Just pledged, it's definitely going to get there way ahead of the deadline!

Datun · 29/08/2020 18:29

Bumpinggggg

yourhairiswinterfire · 29/08/2020 18:36

When I first saw the 30 day deadline, my heart sank a bit thinking it would never get there.

Completely underestimated how many of us are pissed off at this! It sometimes feels like we're a little corner on the internet, the only people aware of what's happening. But it seems more and more people are waking up now, thank God.

LittleCabbage · 29/08/2020 18:56

Have dug. Nearly there!

OvaHere · 29/08/2020 19:01

So pleased this is getting the traction it deserves. I was a little worried when it first went up because policy and detail can be a little 'dry' it might not do as well as some other funders. It's this stuff that's so important though and it's great so many people recognise that.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 29/08/2020 19:03

I suppose it can seem dry, but Ann Sinnott replied to me earlier on twitter, & I felt all special Star

TheFleegleHasLanded · 29/08/2020 19:23

This one really is crucial; so much of the 'advice' disseminated to government organisations and commercial companies across the whole of the UK originated from the EHRC and the GEO.

They have 'quietly' changed things and deleted things; this is not good enough. They must be made to deliver correct advice and admit, loudly, that the previous guidance was unlawful. They must contact everyone who has used their advice and tell them they were wrong and it must be discarded.

Only then will people begin to wake up.

Agree, very loudly and very clearly.
