around the guidance for the Equality Act 2010, and is crowdfunding for a judicial review. Thought I ought to spread the word.

I don't think there's many women here who do not understand the suffering that comes from gender being enforced on us.

SirVixofVixHall · 08/09/2020 10:27

I agree MindtheMinotaur

JellyFishSquish · 08/09/2020 12:51

Been doing some digging this morning.

Escapeplanning · 08/09/2020 13:16

Mimmymum's job must be full time stalking. A box of frogs comes to mind. 600plus thousand from a population of 60plus million is a penny a head.

Jealous Helen?

Surely she knows anyone can look at those crowdfunders and see the amounts donated?

I think they even handily give you the mode average and it's something like twenty five quid.

DialSquare · 08/09/2020 14:00

I donate between £50 to £100 towards the current cases every month at a rate of £10 to £20 for each case. I imagine there are many like me. Just ordinary women who are in a position to use some of their disposable income towards the cause. I also get a little thrill by deleting the extra fee towards crowd justice each time!

StandUpStraight · 08/09/2020 14:21

Oh my god, mimmymum is a loon! How does she think crowdfunding works?! 😂

dial same here. I’ve said it before but it is flat out insane that we have to do this to get people to implement existing law or just do their damn jobs properly, but thank goodness there is a way we can support these efforts.

ThinEndoftheWedge · 08/09/2020 14:33

It’s quite exciting to be an ‘unknown and untraceable source’!

thereplycamefromanchorage · 08/09/2020 14:42

I agree Mindtheminotaur - I think solid, totally enclosed toilets have safety issues too, plus as someone who hates enclosed spaces, I can't bear them.

OvaHere · 08/09/2020 15:12

Obviously hasn't occurred to her that maybe it's not such a small group after all.

I have donated between £20 - 100 to each crowdfunder depending on what I can afford at the time. There's loads of women and men doing this. It's really not some giant conspiracy - you can even see the amounts and the comments on the crowdfunders.

EmpressJKRowlingSpartacus · 08/09/2020 15:35

It's really not some giant conspiracy - you can even see the amounts and the comments on the crowdfunders.

But recognising that would involve prioritising boring reality over exciting speculation.

Exactly.

Plus one's credibility goes straight down the pan if one continues to speculate over something that can be almost instantly factually determined by everyone else.

PronounssheRa · 08/09/2020 16:07

That would require a level of insight that mermaids is just not capable of. If you build your whole world around gender ideology, including your work, and decisions about your children etc it's a hell of a thing to realise you are in the minority and most people do not agree with you.

moptophairshop · 08/09/2020 16:18

Oh my God that Mimmymum woman is pathetic! Every single case is being crowd funded by the public - not through corporate sponsors or profits from cookies in Starbucks Hmm I'm not well off by a long shot but rather than spending money on things like takeaways I've put it towards what I think is so important for the rights of women and children. I know there are lots of us doing the same. I do like the fact that makes me an unknown and untraceable source, sounds far more exciting than the truth Grin

persistentwoman · 08/09/2020 16:24

She must have regular conniptions when she looks at the press - hundreds of thousands of readers who are now "educated" about the grim reality of what is happening to women and children (since #nodebate ground to a halt) and horrified at it. And many of them are contributing to the myriad of crowdfunders. Unlike the bloated government / corporate funded gravy train that keeps so many anti safeguarding / anti women crusaders afloat.

GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman · 08/09/2020 16:57

I've just got the shovel out.

I'd not been aware this particular garden until I bumped into this particular thread, so nipped to the shed for the tools sharpish.

BettyFilous · 08/09/2020 17:10

I am happy to bung £10 or £20 towards these cases each month. My aligned union is utterly captured by this ideology, so there’s no point in joining as the don’t give a shit about women. I see my monthly donations as akin to union subs, in that it will benefit women collectively to have clarity around the law and single sex exemptions.

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 08/09/2020 17:29

For once I am indebted to Mimmymum. There were a few causes on that spreadsheet I hadn't donated to.

How fabulous of her to publicise them and make my life easy.

JellyFishSquish · 08/09/2020 17:35

"Gender critical cult" and "anti-trans crowdfunder"?

Being called a cult is hilarious, considering who is doing the naming.

Helen, this crowdfunder is needed so Sinnott can fight the injustice of Equality Act guidance that is misrepresented/misinterpreted. Not anti-trans. Transgender people have their rights intact.

It's women whose rights are being pissed on from a great height so mimmymum is gaslighting her followers by suggesting the opposite.

Oh Helen. "Unknown and untraceable sources"...kinda like a crowdfunder, amiright?

CriticalCondition · 08/09/2020 17:42

Me too. My professional body has been thoroughly captured. I entered into a polite but persistent correspondence with them and received nothing but platitudes, mantras and a refusal to engage. When I looked at Stonewall's immense list of champions -customers- the capture became obvious. They should know better.
So I'm happy to put my hand in my pocket and help fund these legal challenges with a few quid every month. Women shouldn't have to pay to have their EXISTING rights legally clarified but if that's what it takes, so be it.

DeRigueurMortis · 08/09/2020 17:42

Absolutely.

I'm another "ordinary" woman who does similar in similar amounts.

Frankly I view it as an important investment for the future - for myself, my mother, my DSD, my cousin and every other women in the UK.

I think they underestimate just how strongly many women feel about this issue.

It's worth the equivalent price of a long weekend away or a new designer bag each year and I donate gladly.

Every penny matters and the volume of women donating small amounts annually is really important.

£1, £5 or £20 it all adds up and what Helen doesn't get is just how much is raised buy these small individual donations.

Ah, but its all money laundering and proceeds from crime.
I'm astonished at just how far some people are divorced from reality.
