around the guidance for the Equality Act 2010, and is crowdfunding for a judicial review. Thought I ought to spread the word.

Careful EmpressJKRowlingSpartacus

I used that phrase once, with the M words, no mention of which platform, and my post got deleted quicker than the shake of a duck's arse.

Wonder how they knew I was referring to them? 🤔 If you're not a misogynist, you wouldn't assume any mention of one if about you, would you?

Siablue · 01/09/2020 20:34
@Siablue

The best solution, of course, is for all public loos to be fully enclosed units with washbasins and locking doors. That way we can, indeed, provide an unlimited number of genders with the privacy and dignity they need. Ditto changing rooms.
@MiladyRenata thank you for responding to me. I agree. Everyone should have the right to go to the toilet.

FortunesFavour · 01/09/2020 20:53

Thanks OP, I’ve added my pledge.

Aesopfable · 01/09/2020 21:03

So pleased Milady keeps boosting this thread and demonstrating why this court case is needed. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the warning, yourhair.

Anyway, back to the topic of Ann Sinnott & her work to support women’s rights. She’s up to £23,356 now Grin.

Escapeplanning · 01/09/2020 23:27

@MiladyRenata

I notice you are trying to sneak in a definition of "sex" based purely on physical/chromosomal characteristics. This doesn't work. Sex and gender are the same thing, and what counts is a person's mind, not what they happen to have between their legs.

If it helps clarify things, trans women are female

Sneak in?

I think that nonsense warrants another bump and as it's now a new month, time to contribute my September budget for important action on female recognition in this male dominated world. I really enjoyed making my August donations which were bumped up due to lack of normal summer activities. September will be a quiet month too so it's, spend spend spend.

howard97A · 02/09/2020 00:51

@MiladyRenata

"you are utterly indifferent to the suffering that being forced to live in the wrong gender causes your fellow human beings"

Nobody is being "forced to live in the wrong gender".

Men are being asked to resolve their problems without riding roughshod over the sex-based rights of women.

This poster must be having a laugh. Mumsnet, do we have to go along with indulging and humouring people with beliefs which it could be said that most reasonable people would not deem to correspond with reality?

If so, do we similarly have to indulge those of the 'belief' that the earth is flat, is as old and created the same way it says in the bible and support some people's 'truth' that vaccinations kill people? They used to believe St Vitus dance was possession by the devil. Even today demonic possession is given credence by some. Indulging beliefs can be dangerous when they stop being just self-regarding and step over the line into affecting others' lives. Some people really, really believe those things, too.

Catsfriend · 02/09/2020 03:09

Funny then that Fionne Orlander - trans woman - says that trans women are men. And uses the men’s.

Having read a trans woman’s comments in the FB group of the Ladies’ Pond, I’m inclined to say that in some cases it’s all about the validation of their experience. Never mind if other people’s rights or comfort are trampled in the process. Speaking of the pond, does anyone know whether Jewish women were taking the CoL to task over this?

Looking forward to the outcome of Ann Sinnott’s challenge.

Mollscroll · 02/09/2020 10:17

I thought Rosa Freeman was bringing a case against the City of London on behalf of Jewish women. Haven’t heard anything about that for months though.

City of London process was corrupt through and through - Freemason stuff Confused.

SirVixofVixHall · 02/09/2020 15:01

Have done some digging.

RedDogsBeg · 02/09/2020 17:07

and you @MiladyRenata and those like you are absolutely revelling in the suffering and harm you are causing women and girls aka adult and juvenile females. Transwomen are male. You know perfectly well that sex and gender are not the same as proven by your own words in the highlighted statement.

yourhairiswinterfire · 07/09/2020 19:03

With this, and the news about Stonewall yesterday, it definitely feels like a little bit of weight has lifted.

There's still a way to go, but it's such a relief to see the wheels are finally in motion. Shits getting done.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 07/09/2020 20:38

I've just seen an update on Harry Miller's fb page. Mermaids and Stonewall have been denied permission to get involved in Susan Evan's case against medical experimentation on children. This apparently means 'they can't submit evidence or enter the courtroom' according to a comment on the post. So many court cases coming up. Sunlight, sunlight, sunlight.

I've said it before on here, Miladyrenata I'm not at all in favour of toilets that are fully enclosed with locking doors. I'm sure most mums have had the scenario of children locking themselves in and having to open the door from the outside.

I've climbed into a toilet wall over a partition wall to rescue a girl who had passed out and was blocking the door. How would she have been helped from an enclosed cubicle? I doubt anyone would even have realised she was there.

Personally, I don't feel at all safe in some of the quiet govt depts I have to visit where there are mixed sex toilets with very solid enclosed cubicles. They don't pass my PTSD assessments and I always fear getting attacked and dragged into a stall.
