@Mummyoflittledragon

😂 I like that he also has a mono brow.

@QuentinWinters

But breast implants arnt the same, you're enhancing what you have, adding to existing breast. They are still breasts. Your ears don't stop being ears because you pieced them and put earrings in. Your breasts don't stop being breasts because you put some implants in.

To be comparable you would need to turn your breasts into somthing else. Like if I turned my breasts into wings, they still looked pretty like birds wings, but couldn't actually make me fly - that would be more comparable to trying to turn a dick into a vagina.

Lockdownseperation · 26/08/2020 20:44

What I particularly hate about this phrase is the suggestion that women’s bodies are separate to them and not fundamental part of us and our identity.

NiceGerbil · 26/08/2020 20:48

That's a big thing with both abortion and surrogacy messaging/ phrasing.

We're still objects to serve whatever use, and dehumanised completely is the bottom line.

It's 2020 and this is where women in the West etc are being pushed by a 'progressive' agenda.

yourhairiswinterfire · 26/08/2020 20:52

@NiceGerbil

That's why it's called breast enhancements though.

You already have breasts. They have been surgically altered to make them bigger.

If you had, I dunno. Feelers like an insect put on your head. Then they aren't feelers at all.

Sorry for shit analogy!

No, I get you, it was my analogy that was shit 😬 I tried using breasts as a comparison because I had to have implants after a medical procedure , and to me they're not 'real'.

It was just jarring seeing something described as artificial and real in the same sentence.

I'll leave the analogies to someone cleverer than me in future 🤦‍♀️

NiceGerbil · 26/08/2020 20:52

Anti abortion people invariably show a foetus advanced in development floating in the ether. No sign of the woman it is growing in.

Surrogacy. So much. Gestational carrier. Just a vessel. Invisibilising the risks of pregnancy and childbirth exactly the same as the anti abortion people.

And this- vulva. Outside. Bit to look at. What about the vagina, clitoris? That's aside from the total male centred shitshow that is the whole article.

yourhairiswinterfire · 26/08/2020 20:53

*meant to say chose to have implants, I didn't have to.

NiceGerbil · 26/08/2020 20:56

No I get you, yourhair.

My friend had a reconstruction, it's a sensitive area. For women.

That men are co-opting when they want to argue with women who say eg a woman's breasts are not the same as a man with implants.

FireUnderTheHand · 27/08/2020 00:06

Creating something via surgery is never reconstruction.

"Reconstructive surgery is performed to restore function and normal appearance, and correct deformities created by birth defects, trauma or medical conditions... reconstructive surgery is considered medically necessary..."

Saying a neo-vag surgery and/or a neo-vulva surgery is a reconstruction is categorically and empirically false; it is indeed a new construction not a return to look/function of an already existing dysfunctional or damaged organ.

DancelikeEmmaGoldman · 27/08/2020 04:57

If you would lime to complain the ABC about its dehumanising of women.

“Vulva owner“
YetAnotherSpartacus · 27/08/2020 08:53

I've just done a google search and found at least two more articles in the same section (ABC life) (by a different writer) that use the term.

www.abc.net.au/life/how-to-support-your-partner-if-they-experience-pain-during-sex/12241138

Winesalot · 27/08/2020 10:20

That is appalling.

yourhairiswinterfire · 27/08/2020 10:24

So it's not even a personal preference of that first writer to use dehumanising language in place of the word woman. It's more of a policy.

Urgh. The women playing along with this bullshit should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Disgraceful.

Deliriumoftheendless · 27/08/2020 10:29

Yes, separating our body parts as if we are Mrs potato heads you can pick and chose what you want eg boobs, vulva, womb, whatever someone else has an interest in.
YetAnotherSpartacus · 27/08/2020 10:35

Well - it is what has been done to us for bloody centuries innit?

I didn't spend long searching, but I did find articles written by two women who used the term. I also found stories where 'women' was used, including from a gynae (who suggested that steaming your vulva was bad - how do you even DO that?).

Deliriumoftheendless · 27/08/2020 11:27

In a pan with some kale and asparagus?

Alabamawhirly1 · 27/08/2020 12:20

Gwenith paltro was advocating it. You could by a kit from her goop website.

It's like herbs and hot water in a bucket. The vulva ownwr sits knicker less over the bucket exposing the forementioned vula over the "tea" to give it a good steam clean.

Another example of women telling other women they are dirty and need to be cleaned. But along with the douche it's actually bad for the vulva owner and their vulva.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 27/08/2020 12:25

I can't actually imagine having the time to do that, let alone the motivation.

Is there an associated help for cleaning smeg? With or without hot water, steam and herbs?

I don't think I've ever seen a single film with Gwenith in.

Alabamawhirly1 · 27/08/2020 18:11

She advocates loads of weird stuff through goop. Jade eggs up your fanjo as well. I think you can get candels that smell of Gwens herby fanny too.

So one of those fancy nips that steam clean your kitchen floor are out, right?
Deliriumoftheendless · 27/08/2020 18:27

Haha! Mops of course.

Alabamawhirly1 · 27/08/2020 21:59

I think you might risk some vulva burns. Then you'd have to take the vulva back to the shop you bought it from and ask for a replacement.
