Women are trying to weaponise cervical cancer for their own agenda

A headline from fucking PinkNews again because CNN used the phrase 'individuals with a cervix' and apparently women taking issue with this means we are trying weaponise cervical cancer for our own agenda.

Every single male cancer charity unashamedly (and rightly so) refers to men as men, no mention of penis haver or person with testicles or individual with a prostate. Where is the outrage at the lack of inclusive language there?

Not sure why I'm even posting this tbh, just needed to get it off my chest as I'm so angry at the blatant hatred aimed towards women and the so called 'woke' generation are oblivious.

Wow. That is just ... jaw-dropping.

This is the first and possibly the last time I'd suggest this, but that Pink News headline/article should be shared. Far and wide.

Women should not mention their cancer. Women should not mention their domestic violence experience. Women should just shut up, amirite?

'Shut mouth, open purse'. - Jameela Jamil, I believe.

Hopefully headlines like this will be their downfall, surely no reasonable person will think that is ok? Sad

''Weaponize'' is a military term that recently gained a foothold in the Manosphere. Its very popular with male rights activists. You don't see so many radfems using it.

SerenityNowwwww · 05/08/2020 01:11

Men don’t get to redefine the word or tell us how to name our body parts.

FagashJackie · 05/08/2020 02:01

You may have seen the term weaponize, as in single mums weaponize their children.

Women as a class don't weaponize anything. This is pure mra.

WeeBisom · 05/08/2020 02:37

The reason trans rights activists think that women are 'weaponising' cervical cancer is because our very existence as women is triggering to them. Talking about our bodies inflicts psychological harm and narcissistic rage because it reminds them what they can't have. So when women unapologetically, say things like 'only women can get cervical cancer' this is a 'weapon' because we are deliberately saying things which can upset them. Our words are violence. And yes, it's completely insane. In a normal world we would be able to point out that not everything revolves around them, and that they should have a thicker skin. Unfortunately, we are now in a situation where merely talking about women's bodies is seen as anti-trans as opposed to pro-woman.

NiceGerbil · 05/08/2020 02:38

Men often react to women talking about things that affect them as a personal attack.

See, metoo, conversations about rape etc.

This is just an extension of that.

WombOfOnesOwn · 05/08/2020 03:00

"Weaponising" is all about transforming our speech into violence, so that they can respond with violence they call speech.

TehBewilderness · 05/08/2020 03:20

9th rule of misogyny: Men always know the "real reasons" for everything women do and say.

SophocIestheFox · 05/08/2020 07:54

That headline 😳. Fucking hell, a new low, can’t believe they managed it.

I don’t have a cervix. I used to, and the process by which I now don’t was extremely horrible. The GP cannot be persuaded to stop calling me for my smear. I had another letter yesterday. Perhaps instead of binning it, I should have rung up the surgery in floods of tears and shouted “YOU’RE INVALIDATING AND TRIGGERING ME YOU HATEFUL FUCKING BIGOTS!!1!”. Would that be weaponising it? Silly me, of course it would, because middle aged women don’t have lived experience 🤦🏼‍♀️

Vermeil · 05/08/2020 08:27

This is hate speech, and I think we should start treating it that way.

BaseDrops · 05/08/2020 08:42

We should weaponise their own language, outrage and hypocrisy each and every time women are erased.

Take each example of female erasure and contrast with the male equivalent which is erasing transwomen. @ the loudest wokesters crying out for their support to condemn such violence.

Currently the vast majority of men do not have skin in the game. That needs to change. Sports are not going to do it - transmen are not going to be on their podiums or taking their scholarships. Prisons, changing rooms and toilets aren’t going to do it - transmen are not going to make men feel intimidated. I can’t think of any male equivalents of shortlists or how men would be impacted by quotas for the sexes for boards.

I’m depressing myself as I type this as it shows exactly why men can “be nice”.

I think this Health Trust has 'had the training':

jobs.theguardian.com/job/7082403/non-executive-directors/?INTCMP=disaudd-251B

It's insidious.

BaseDrops · 05/08/2020 13:16

How does this
be inclusive of everyone’s background – gender, disability, sexual orientation, trans+ - all backgrounds

Relate to this?
age
disability
gender reassignment
marriage and civil partnership
pregnancy and maternity
race
religion or belief
sex
sexual orientation

What is all backgrounds?

IPSO wouldn’t let me fill in their complaints box. I don’t know if I was going it wrong but Pink News and PinkNews weren’t acceptable publication names.
Are they not actually regulated by IPSO? Did these “journalists” not sign up?

Nope, not signed up to IPSO.

In reality best thought of as just yet another amateur online blog site.

maxicheddar · 05/08/2020 15:15

It's straight up DARVO, and it's vile

It is. DARVO, domestic abuse, collective narcissism, collective misogyny, women as scapegoats and objects of projection to externalise self loathing and self hatred, fear and annihilistic/nihilistic tendencies, women as a mirror = hating the 'object' that reflects back your flaws and inner truths, where any action is justified by the strength of their feelings alone; its all the same dangerous pathology.

MagpiePi · 05/08/2020 15:28

@WhereAreAllTheTeaspoons

I have learnt that replying to anything like this is usually pointless. I once innocently questioned (before I realised how illogical and unreasonable some TRA's can be) something to do with male bodies in women's spaces and the charming response I received was 'when I see you in the ladies toilets I am going to make you sniff my tampon'. Those exact words, I still have the screenshot. So I tend not to engage.

Plus as much as it does anger me women are being targeted, I dont want the same to happen to mens charities either, even though I know its pretty unlikely because you know, they dont hate men.

@WhereAreAllTheTeaspoons

'when I see you in the ladies toilets I am going to make you sniff my tampon'

Grin

that actually made me laugh out loud, probably inappropriately. So much in there that only a man would think it was a serious threat.

Is this a thing then- transwomen carrying tampons?

Would they take it out of their handbag (cos real women don't use pockets, obvs), unwrap it and wave it at you? Or do they keep it unwrapped? Do they shove it up their arse in the misguided belief that it is the same as having a tampon in your vagina when you are having a period? Or do they keep it in a special little bag with blood in to show other women, because that's what we do innit.

I am afraid that if a man started waving a tampon at me I'd' just think they were fecking barking.

WhereAreAllTheTeaspoons · 05/08/2020 20:49

MagpiePi... bizarrely yes, some trans women do actually carry and use tampons Confused. The person that made the threat, looking at his profile picture (assuming it was him) was very clearly a bloke wearing lipstick and would have most certainly looked barking mad waving a tampon around in the 'ladies' toilets. Anyway, that's what we're up against some times.

Interesting they are not signed up to IPSO, though probably explains why they get away with so much misinformation and seemingly have no consequences. They're a blog with a big ego it would seem.

Have a quick skim through the career of the founder and chief executive.

  1. He exchanged his stake in Jewishnet.co.uk to Totally plc for £310,000 in an all-share deal; yet when Cohen later sold half of his stake, these shares were worth just £40,000.
  1. Two weeks after Apple lodged its UK trademark application for the term 'iTunes', Cohen's company registered iTunes.co.uk and redirected it to a music search engine
  1. He valued one of his companies' revenue as £12,000 per month; their return showed a total yearly profit of £165 up to 31 March 2001

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Cohen_(journalist)

Also worth looking at the wikipedia entry for Pink News: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PinkNews

PinkNews also regularly reported on criticism of Stonewall for its refusal to campaign on transgender issues.[27] PinkNews has collaborated closely with Stonewall following the departure of Summerskill in 2014. A year later, under Chief Executive Ruth Hunt, Stonewall decided to begin campaigning on transgender issues.[28]

And here is an article from 2008:

www.pinknews.co.uk/2008/11/07/celebs-split-over-trans-protests-at-stonewall-awards/

You can clearly see them start to bully Stonewall with quotes like these: “This should make organisations like Stonewall sit up and take notice – if you trample on trans rights, you will get called out on it very vocally and very publicly.”

thinkingaboutLangCleg · 06/08/2020 00:39

2 of my mates did the ultimate weaponisation & died of cervical cancer last year at the age of 49

I'm sorry for your loss, MadamBetty. I'm also furious that it's OK for Penis News to abuse people living with (or bereaved by) cancer, which once would have been considered so disgusting that no one would dare to publish it.

RedToothBrush · 06/08/2020 01:46

They couldn't spell it out more clearly if they tried.

Women are not allowed to further their own agenda. Women furthering their own agenda are weaponising the injustice they experience. We dont want to talk about womens injustice because its an inconvenience and nuisance to us and it stops us getting what we want. Therefore this is bigoted because we dont like it and framing it as bigotry is a good way to make us try and look good rather than the sexist pricks we are.

MadamBatty · 06/08/2020 05:24

Thanks thinkingaboutLangCleg, as they lay dying thinking about their 6 (3 each) teenage daughters that they’d never see finish school, go to college, she grandkids married. As they fretted & tried to think of what to leave their daughters with, I’m sure they thought ‘take that TRAs’.

This is the spite of these fuckers.
