I wouldn't have thought the comments were overwhelmingly supportive, though, or maybe I just didn't get far enough through the thread. There seemed to be an awful lot of no-thought, 'just stop', you're a trans-hater type comments in the first however-many.

She is amazing! It’s insane to think we may look back on history and see it took a popular fiction writer (understatement I know) to make some people sit up and notice this.

She's amazing. I also love how she writes all kinds of female characters from Hermione to Molly Weasley to Bellatrix. I also love how Narcissa Malfoy's desire to save her child is Voldemort's ultimate undoing. I think there is a lesson in that particular part of the story.

Indeed! It’s deeply moving to see her standing against the harmful excessives of this ideology, at such personal cost, just to stand for what is right and true.

I was surprised at the lack of TRA responses.
Perhaps it's because they've all blocked her so they don't have to subjected to the trauma of science, facts and critical thinking.

I felt compelled to email JKR's office after seeing the abuse she got after the 'people who menstruate' tweet, having never done anything like that before and got a response thanking me for my support.

She is such an inspiring woman and I really hope that getting emails and letters of support and thanks helps in some way to offset the vile threats and abuse that get sent to her. I thanked her for her books (I'm a Robert Galbraith fan, my kids love HP) as well as for her standing up for women and girls when others don't. I love that she has kept going with bringing this issue to a wider audience.

Absolutely love her for shining a light on this absolute shit show.
