The Book of Judges contains (chapter 4) the story of Deborah, prophet and Judge of Israel, before they had a monarchy. Deborah calls Barak, military leader, and tells him to march against the Caananites (Sisera being their general) and God will give them victory.
“K,” says Barak, “but only if you come.”
“K,” says Deborah, “but since you won’t take my word/God’s word on this, Sisera will be delivered into the hands of a woman”
Big battle, Sisera flees the battlefield and comes upon the tent of Jael, wife of Heber the Kenite, with whom the Canaanites have an understanding.
She speaks soft words to him, gives him a drink, lets him fall asleep and then rams a tent peg through his skull. And then walks out and tells Barak, “hey, are you looking for Sisera? Because well...”
And then there’s a victory song about how great God, Barak, Deborah and Jael are.
