I saw the headline and hoped it was him and it wasShock.
www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/liverpool-doctor-finds-car-tyres-18590158

I don't understand why he hasn't used it to promote his usual storyline though (although he obviously was the one to go to the newspaper about itHmm.

That's an unpleasant thing to happen to anyone, whether it was a random attack, or someone deliberately targeting him.

But why run to the newspaper? I wouldn't. I don't know anyone who would.

I really really don't understand this clingy need to have every bit of your life plastered about for everyone to comment on... people underneath the article saying 'karma' and pointing out his long history of misogyny on social media. Why does he need to be in the public eye so much?

Binterested · 14/07/2020 15:18

That’s not good but the report is a bit odd. I can’t imagine the Evening Standard being interested in the fact that my car got keyed a while back.

Also odd that he didn’t claim it was because some women used words to express opinions in a public space. That’s his usual MO.

Hoping for some more live updates from the scene when KwikFit arrive.

nauticant · 14/07/2020 15:21

Try not to get drawn into Harrop and his disputatious life. I'm not going to comment beyond that.

Whatabanana · 14/07/2020 15:25

I just thought it bizarre that I could predict who it might be. And yes, weird pointless story.

Xanthangum · 14/07/2020 15:26

Good evening. Here is the news for Adrian Harrop:

No Harrops were involved in an accident on the M1 today when a lorry carrying high-octane fuel was in collison with a bollard. That's a BOLLARD and NOT a Harrop. A spokesman for Harrop said he was glad Adrian wasn't involved. The Minister of Technology today met the three Russian leaders to discuss a 4 million pound airliner deal....None of them called the others transphobes, or took a selfie of themselves to put on social media, or got involved in a ludicrous epistemological argument about the nature of the sexes with Posie Parker.

Cismyfatarse1 · 14/07/2020 15:32

This Dr?

TinselAngel · 14/07/2020 15:33

I've lived in Liverpool. This sort of thing is not unusual.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/07/2020 15:34

Ade
just loves to get his name/face in the press. Remember his shenanigans during the Junior Doctors' Strike?

And who can ever forget his appearance on Sky News? (which didn't go quite as he intended Grin)

Redhair23 · 14/07/2020 15:34

This seems to be happening a lot lately with running to the press. I don’t like to hazard a guess as to the motives.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/07/2020 15:35

Oops @Cismyfatarse!

Can't have too much of a good thing, I say Grin

MrBennsshop · 14/07/2020 15:39

Every time there's a thread about him I hope it's to say that he's been suspended or struck off.

buckeejit · 14/07/2020 15:39

@Xanthangum great report! 🤣

He is such a tool. I can't believe the paper printed it. He just be checking what weight his GP status holds. Obviously it's worse to happen after a night shift than a day shift too!

DianasLasso · 14/07/2020 15:41

Crap thing to happen to anyone (and I include Hardplop in that - wouldn't wish it on him).

I've lived/worked in fucking rough areas, and it's really upsetting when something like that happens (random half brick through the kitchen window, air rifle pellet through the front window, stolen car crashed into your parked car...), but for once I agree with Hardplop - you can't let yourself enter a mindset where you think you're being targeted deliberately, because that way madness lies. That sort of area there's just a lot of vandalism and anti-social behaviour, most of it just random outbursts.

(Having said that I didn't think of any of the stuff that happened to me as newsworthy. Annoying, upsetting, yes, but sadly so commonplace I doubt the local paper would have been in the slightest bit interested. I think the media are quite interested in running stories on "hard working HCP returns to find car vandalised after night shift" stories - it shifts papers at the moment.)

ArriettyJones · 14/07/2020 15:42

@Xanthangum Grin You’ve been inside his head, then? Smile

MyOwnSummer · 14/07/2020 15:44

I really dislike him for his behaviour towards other people, but this incident is really nasty stuff and could be quite frightening for a person. Honestly, I hope he is OK. He does have a public profile so I can see why the press might think it worth a story.

Soubriquet · 14/07/2020 15:45

Whoops

My knife slipped...once..twice..maybe three times Grin

Just kidding. It couldn’t have been me. I was at home in bed seriously. I’m in bed for 6.30pm as I have to get up at 1.30am

Binterested · 14/07/2020 15:59

Soubriquet you sure about that post ?

Soubriquet · 14/07/2020 16:02

Probably not

SunsetBeetch · 14/07/2020 16:04

That's a shit thing to come home from a night shift too. I suspect it made the news because he's a doctor, current crisis and We Love Our NHS and all. Also there was an item on BBC News yesterday about paramedics and firemen being attacked and abused.

FannyCann · 14/07/2020 16:07

"I'm not taking it personally because whoever did this wouldn't have known me and its not like they had a personal vendetta against me."

You think Adrian, you think????

Binterested · 14/07/2020 16:12

I’d ask MNHQ to delete. We are closely monitored by our overlords.

Staffy1 · 14/07/2020 16:14

Never heard of either of them, but what a twit he is, and that woman is fantastic in that interview.

RedOasis · 14/07/2020 16:17

I’ve never heard of this odious little man but after watching the video I can’t understand how a gp can practice if he can’t tell the difference between a man and a woman? What an insignificant loathsome little man he is. Glad he’s not my gp.

ErrolTheDragon · 14/07/2020 16:42

Also odd that he didn’t claim it was because some women used words to express opinions in a public space. That’s his usual MO.

Not really - the report said something about hoping to use CCTV so he'll be making the reasonable assumption that it will be a bloke doing some mindless vandalism.

Whatever we may think of him, it's a shitty thing to happen to a doctor on night shift. Two wrongs don't make a right.

DocHolliday · 14/07/2020 17:06

Wot? No sad face photo? Tut tut!
Shit happens Ade. Lowlife everywhere.
I very much doubt it's a plot.

If Ade's after more new wheels - there's no chance from Wavertree Car Dealership. Busted for money laundering by the NCA / Merseyside Police. No discount this time Haddock.
