Why r/GenderCritical was banned by Reddit

Hi! TRA here! Thought I'd take a quick breather from all the crowing, high-fiving, etc. to throw a lifeline to any actual open-minded critical thinkers wondering why Reddit banned r/gendercritical. Basically, you have 2 options when it comes to what to believe:

1. It's a true conspiracy: silicon valley, hollywood & the media are in the thrall of the well-funded TransAgenda, the need for woke points, child-groomers, women-haters, MRAs, etc. etc.

1. r/GenderCritical was hateful - if you want evidence then go to r/GenderCynical which existed to harvest said hatefulness. Read their strictly enforced rules about hate speech, misogyny, anti-feminism, pile-ons, doxxing, etc. (NB: abbreviating "trans exclusionary radical feminist" is not considered hate speech on this subreddit) and then sort their posts by "top" and "all time" and judge for yourself.

The trans men, trans women and non-binary people of Reddit do not hate women and do not tolerate abuse. Have a better day. x

The thing is some people will be turned by gender critical arguments but many women won't because they feel obliged to be "nice".

But when they see how "nice" the other side is being they may lose some of that female socialisation.

We're in a rather odd situation when an OP admits that they're trolling but the mods decide that they're not in terms of how all this relates to self ID.

Aside, but if my mum was still around I'd order her a gift basket to thank her for doing me the massive, lifechanging favor of not socializing me to be "nice" to people who mean me harm.

From that thread, um, "defund the police" does not actually mean "fund these other things". It means exactly what it says on the tin, regardless of whether you agree or disagree.

By the end of the day this thread will probably be nothing but the OP gloating and jokes that make no sense because the comment they were responding to has been deleted, judging by its current progress.

TRA's always make me laugh at their one track mindedness, they still dont get it after all this time.

Censorship is like a hydra you cut on head off and three more appear in its place regardless of political backgrounds or leanings. Im no fan of Donald Trump but do you think that banning subreddit like The_Donald will make its users go away? No they will be motivated MORE now to push their views across and this will filter into real life politics.

GenderCritical has already set up elsewhere and more groups protecting female rights will pop up as well, the internet is a big place after all. 😊

Hey OP while you and your buddies are celebrating and patting yourselves on the back, have you taken a second out of your day to ask yourself why there has been such a backlash against the TRA movement recently?
Do you actually think its because 'lots of people are ignorant and transphobic"? Or do you think its because the TRA's such as yourself have been given the green light to constantly make ridiculous demands and censor others for so long that more people are beginning to notice and realise just how toxic your movement is? No one likes shitty ideology being forced on their everyday lives.

I'm sorry to say that you and your allies just dont to be that bright not to have noticed that ultimately you atre your own worst enimies, not the women you love to label 'TERF's'.

The fact that childhood injustice continues into adulthood is one of those little female socialization things that we're supposed to pretend doesn't exist.

I'm actually more likely to decamp to GenderCritical now than when it was on Reddit because I don't like Reddit. So if this thread goes the way it seems like it's going to I'll see you all on the other, now endless creepy subreddit free side?

The problem with the sheep and hand maidens attaching themselves to the bekind hashtag is that they’re failing to see the small print at play here. That’s when the reverse ferret will come in, when suddenly a swathe of people will realise what the ideology is really all about.

This takes time though and honestly I think this sub forum will be shut down by them before that happens. Just be prepared for that, but as a PP so beautifully put, for every head that gets cut off another three will grow.

If you want to see the truly hateful stuff then you have to actively look for it. Personally, I don't. Unfortunately, the Trans-related corners get actively targeted and I don't just mean hateful DMs.

One GC post commented on the concept of a brain-scan to identify 'transness' and said that if it could be done in the womb then "we could abort the fuckers".

Another post asking what showers non-binary people should use was responded to with "the ones with zyklon-b"

This isn't about "shutting women up"

Some people are just vile

And spoil things for everyone
