Why r/GenderCritical was banned by Reddit

Hi! TRA here! Thought I'd take a quick breather from all the crowing, high-fiving, etc. to throw a lifeline to any actual open-minded critical thinkers wondering why Reddit banned r/gendercritical. Basically, you have 2 options when it comes to what to believe:

1. It's a true conspiracy: silicon valley, hollywood & the media are in the thrall of the well-funded TransAgenda, the need for woke points, child-groomers, women-haters, MRAs, etc. etc.

1. r/GenderCritical was hateful - if you want evidence then go to r/GenderCynical which existed to harvest said hatefulness. Read their strictly enforced rules about hate speech, misogyny, anti-feminism, pile-ons, doxxing, etc. (NB: abbreviating "trans exclusionary radical feminist" is not considered hate speech on this subreddit) and then sort their posts by "top" and "all time" and judge for yourself.

The trans men, trans women and non-binary people of Reddit do not hate women and do not tolerate abuse. Have a better day. x

I honestly can see absolutely nothing that can break their rules.

Occasionally HQ seem to take it into their heads to "protect" someone who's being goady simply because it's clear that most women here disagree with them. Enforcing civility on only one side of a debate is a rather odd strategy imo, but there you are.

The OPs answer to rufus implied 'big ego' was accepted, and no problem with the rest of that post.

The abuse of JKR and the silencing of women is starting to be noticed and helping us hugely.

OMG..I have been here for years under various usernames and I have got my first ever deletion.

I read Reddit a lot, you can certainly stumble on things you wish you hadn’t. I’ve read r/gendercritical from time to time and it wasn’t hateful.

Does that mean I can only choose option 1?

Yes quite the modd’ing conundrum on this thread as I noted earlier. I mean even the post on this thread admitting OPs other thread was posted as a wind up troll is still standing, as is the troll thread.

Well I've just checked and will need to burn my computer but the subreddit /r/rapeconfessions mentioned on another thread is still working.

As is the men's rights forum.

So yeah, it's going to be option number one. Reddit is full of hateful men and women that want "Cis women" to suck their dicks.

MAP (minor attracted persons) that appear on Twitter also don't get banned like feminists do. So what's that about?

Actually, to be specific, It isn't a conspiracy it's patriarchy. Everyone at the top (of every industry) is male. So yes, they will prioritise male feelings.

Or do you not believe in patriarchy either?

I had actually reported this thread, I believe in Freespeech and happy to be argued with by genuine posters who disagree (there have been a few this week) but don't see why MN need to open the place up to trolling that makes the message boards unusable. But actually I'm glad you started this thread and that it's standing because what you can't see is that all the non-anime avitar people around you think this sort of thing is bollocks.

I think the op actually just misses us tbh.
We get banned and they immediately run over here to start a thread.

Sorry, that's what I was saying. Even though I did report it at first do to the trolly nature of it, I am glad they will let it stand actually.

It's quite useful for people to see a gloaty fucker allowed to admit to trolling on MN and still be allowed to get on with it.

I just find it interesting that blatant goading is "civil" as long as it's not women who have concerns about gender ideology doing it.

If threads started by self-admitted trolls are going to remain from now on, I don't think I'd mind that.

I think even I'd be surprised by the sheer number of troll threads that are usually deleted if they were to be left up - even if they were to be locked. As depressing as it would be to see, it would be illuminating at least.
