The ever entertaining TRA power couple Fox and Owl were apparently represented by the same agents as the wonderful Ms Rowling.

They, along with some bloke called Drew Davies, have severed ties because the agents refused to issue a public statement slagging off their biggest client.

Being bastions of professionalism they left by telling the guardian.

Fox, Drew and Ugla who?

Sweet and succinct!

SerenityNowwwww · 23/06/2020 09:47

I wonder who the 4th one was?

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 23/06/2020 09:48

In addition to all the other issues Fox and Owl are incredibly boring. Why subject children to being preached at by dull, awkward people when they can't even get academic credit for it?

Lamahaha · 23/06/2020 09:55

The agent gets 15% of the author's share of the royalties, not 15% of the total royalties. I bet JKR is on a LOT more than 8%, though.
You're right, my early-morning befuddled brain!

Let's not forget the time Owl defamed Fair Play for Women in an article in the Independent and the paper had to settle out of court:

I’m sure someone more skilled than me, will be able to work it out by going through the agent’s twitter threads. If you narrow it down to those who have written some books on trans ‘issues’, the pool gets much smaller. Between that and narrowing it down further to those authors that have gushed on the other numpties twitter threads, then you can probably work it out. I don’t have the twitter knowledge, time or inclination to bother, but I guarantee someone is doing it, as we speak. 😁

Where do you see the comments on the Times article? I can't see them but am not signed in.

Sounds like the start of a Haiku. 😁

This is the other thing this reminds me of. They’ve struck out! Taken a stand! Escaped the shackles of their oppressors! They’ll be congratulated by their limited number of restricted followers for all of 5 minutes. But they’re still in their little bubble. Then it’s a case of:

I like this one:

The knowledge that I shall never again be able to read the sublime and insightful literature of Fox Fisher, Drew Davies and Ugla Stefania Kristjonudottir Jonsdottir fills me with indifference.

Oh yeah! That was a good one! Owl was so wrong Owl couldn’t have been wronger.

I guess the number of trans identifying sex offenders incarcerated in British prisons doesn’t support Owl’s arguments for male people using female designated spaces and services ¯\(ツ)

Me too. I'm struggling to contain mine, it's like it's all spilling out.
FloralBunting · 23/06/2020 10:24

DuDuDu, I share your anger at their harmful influence, definitely.

But they are so ridiculous I find it hard to watch a lot of things that involve them without thinking I'm watching a spoof documentary comedy on wokeness, a bit like Kerry and Kurtan on This Country.

How long before Jolyon tells us how he dealt with Hedwig in a kimono as a way of “sending a message” to JK Rowling?

So Agatha Christie. “It was the QC in the kimono with the baseball bat that did it.”

I’m bound to admit the theatrics of the identity politics crowd is making me tired. Do what you want people, but do it quietly, without the fucking melodramatics.

Too bad about Ugla Stefania Kristjonudottir Jonsdottir. On the plus side, the agency will save on ink.

Why do they have animal names?

Cos they are super special!

😂😂😂

SisterWendyBuckett · 23/06/2020 11:17

I reckon they chose animal names to make them sound appealing to kids.

They are trans - medically, socially and ideologically. I think they started adding the non binary bit on so they couldn't be accused of promoting binary stereotypes, and to make themselves that bit more oppressed.

Sadly that two animals I particularly like.

Ferret and Vole would work for me.
