About an hour ago she started posting her response to pictures children have drawn for her book The Icka Bog.

This is a smart move. These are now threads laden with parents of young children who will see, at face value, any of the TRA stuff that gets hurled at her (a few have tried already).

I would love, love, love to see the power of decency keep those trolling bastards at bay.

It's apparently old-fashioned and the cynic in me says it's impossible to maintain a sense of morality and normality when any passing character has access to your feed.

But wouldn't it be nice.

She is an astonishing woman.

What strength and what a role model to girls and women everywhere.

I'm very pleased to hear this, and I'm sure all the twitterers who condemned the Sun will now turn out to help keep the trolls in line, no?

Good for her! I'm not on Twitter but I'm loving the Ickabog and the competition is such a fantastic thing to do for kids. I'm glad she isn't letting the mob scare her off. Because that's what they want - to silence her and then build her into some sort of bogeywoman in her absence.

I was reading today about the huge amounts of money Joanne Rowling has given to charity. Hundreds of thousands. She’s such a wonderful role model for young girls and all of us really.

JK Rowling is a truly inspiring and courageous woman - so pleased to hear she's continuing to do the things that are important to her.
Hope she feels supported enough to continue speaking up for women and girls everywhere!

I'm no fan of Harry Potter and I only follow her for her views.
Howeveer her replies to the children who had sent drawings on this morning were wonderful. Tailored, positive and genuine. I was so impressed.
