ChickenNuggetsChipsAndBeans · 15/06/2020 08:05

Mumsnet is getting a mention

Thingybob · 15/06/2020 08:05

A recruiting site?

ErrolTheDragon · 15/06/2020 08:06

Who's on it?

Destinysdaughter · 15/06/2020 08:06

Haha India Willoughby slagging off MN and calling it a recruiting ground!

dianebrewster · 15/06/2020 08:08

lol India W thinks JKR was radicalised on here! If so hi Jo, me too Smile

Awning10 · 15/06/2020 08:08

Thanks, just turned over from BBC.

TitianaTitsling · 15/06/2020 08:10

I thought IW was pro JK?

Gncq · 15/06/2020 08:12

Ugh
Are they seriously sitting there with IW talking about JKR with no one else there?

AgnesNaismith · 15/06/2020 08:13

Oh look - 3 men talking down women

dianebrewster · 15/06/2020 08:15

Oh Piers doesn't like JKR . Not a bad discussion - could have been worse. Bloody hell never thought I'd be agreeing with PM though, he made some sensible points

Thingybob · 15/06/2020 08:19

Susanna Reid gets it and was allowed to get a few sentences in this morning

Shockedandbefuddled · 15/06/2020 08:21

PM spectacularly missing the point. He accused JK on using her personal experiences to play the victim.

It is those experiences which has made her aware of how important single sex spaces are.

Cuntysnark · 15/06/2020 08:22

Be interesting to see Piers twitter feed!

Oxyiz · 15/06/2020 08:25

Cheers for the advertising India.

lafemme · 15/06/2020 08:30

Agree I think Piers just came across as butt hurt about JK. Mumsnet getting a bashing was laughable. Quite misogynistic to assert that a site intended to help new mothers get advice from other women is actually a anti trans recruiting ground for successful authors.

I guess men don't understand.

Shockedandbefuddled · 15/06/2020 08:38

Are ITV transphobic - they only use trans women who have had gender reassignment surgery?

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/06/2020 08:51

I thought it interesting that neither Nicole or India agreed with self Id.

ShiveringCoyote · 15/06/2020 09:00

Better brace ourselves for an influx of new members looking for screenshots. Shall we don a uniform? Green hat, white top and purple bottoms? I don't think women who have periods would feel comfortable in white bottoms.

Flapjak · 15/06/2020 09:02

I thought Nicole came across quite well, and it would have been good if she and Kathleen had been given more airtime. Piers nearly always ruins the opportunity for a good debate by imposing his views and what he thinks ..its annoying. And in this case i felt it was absolutely appalling that he expresses that JK Rowling was using her experience of male violence to deflect the trolls rather than give context.

InfiniteSheldon · 15/06/2020 09:03

I don't think I want to wear a uniform. I shall self Id as a baboon and sit under tge cheese plant I'll still look exactly like part of the gang and if you don't agree you're all baboonphobic

ShiveringCoyote · 15/06/2020 09:08

I have a real life fear of baboons and orangutans.I even have to change the channel if they come on the TV.

RuffleCrow · 15/06/2020 09:08

Thank you, JKR for bringing to light, once and for all, the cesspool of misogyny we live in. You have to be able to see how just bad the situation really is before you can work out how to improve it. I'm not religious, but you really have done a bit of a JC for the rest of womanhood. You knew exactly how the patriarchy would make you pay for talking about your experiences of male violence, but you knew you had to do it for our sake. Halo

Ernieshere · 15/06/2020 09:08

Susanna Reid should have been able to say more.

The PM show.
