Creepy AGP reviews on M&S website

I've noticed quite a few online reviews from men of M&S lingerie. These knickers are the latest I've seen. 3 reviews, 2 of which are by men.
I get the feeling that the review is part of the AGP fetish. It reminds me of flashing in that it's intended to make women/girls feel uncomfortable/shocked/embarrassed. I've seen men reviewing bras from the "Angel" first bra range too.

I think for a lot of men what they fetishize in terms of undergarments, shoes etc will be based on what their mother wore when they were little.

There were a lot of nylon knickers around like this in the early 70s

FlamingoAndJohn · 17/05/2020 17:09

Hang on.
These are men, not transwomen because transwomen are women and would sure say that these were suitable for a woman with a penis.

So this isn’t a trans thing is it, just a creepy nasty man thing.

Which means that M&S shouldn’t think twice about removing nasty wank fantasy shit from their website.
Unless pervy men are a protected group.

Datun · 17/05/2020 17:12

It's interesting if M & S have indeed taken out the gender option.

Because a lot of women here complained about it, as the men were loving putting that they were men, and then talking about the knickers in a fetishist way. Shocking the women by being men was definitely part of the arousal.

Then there was that bloke who said they would ejaculate into the knickers and put them back on the rack...🤮

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/05/2020 17:14

There was a report that came out recently saying that researchers in China had found coronavirus in sperm, maybe that could be the reason to refuse to accept soiled knickers for return since clearly the fact that women don't want to buy them isn't deemed important.

Aposterhasnoname · 17/05/2020 17:14

Transphobes , how dare they suggest that anyone donning these garments does not instantly become a woman the moment the put them on.

FlamingoAndJohn · 17/05/2020 17:18

But the reviews actually say that these are a good fit for a man. Not a woman with a penis, a man.

You do know that not only would no pervy man exploit the measures taken to make trans people more at ease , cross dressing is under the trans umbrella how dare you question their trans statusAngry

FleecyMoo · 17/05/2020 17:21

Coronavirus sperm stained knickers? Urgh, no thanks M&S.

My 'friend' ran a little experiment with M&S customer service recently. She (adult human female) claimed to be a trans woman and made a complaint. She also submitted the same complaint without claiming to be anything other than an adult human female. Guess what happened? Her complaint as herself was completely ignored whilst her complaint as a trans woman was replied to within the day and £50 in vouchers sent as 'compensation' for her distress. I'd love to think I was making this up but I'm not Angry

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/05/2020 17:23

So at current prices that's what, maybe 12 or so new reviews about how supportive the knickers are? Or it would be if your friend hadn't been running an experiment.

FleecyMoo · 17/05/2020 17:25

@TheProdigalKitten, I'd not thought of it like that but, yes, I guess it may well have been if my 'friend' had been an AGP man Sad

LittleCabbage · 17/05/2020 18:34

I'm still boycotting M&S. Have found many suitable replacement shops for everything I need, so won't be going back. They can keep their jizzy "panties".

HeatherIV · 17/05/2020 18:42

I think all three are from men.

This

Nice coverage and bikini panties seem to offer the best compromise and support for everyday wear. Fairly discreet when worn under trousers or shorts.

Does not sound like something a vagina haver would say.

Also their horrible pants. That pattern looks like somthing a child would wear.

Ilovemystarter · 17/05/2020 18:42

All 3 reviews for these appalling knickers are by men. What’s really creepy is that m&s thought it was ok to publish them. Maybe they should just own up & have a fetish section?
I’ve given up on m&s clothes anyway because they’re such low quality nowadays. Just trading on the past, with ugly clothes. Even their children’s wear is boring & overpriced & a limited range.
These knickers are truly awful.

Lordfrontpaw · 17/05/2020 19:03

But women’s cut knickers would just look dreadful on a man surely? Bulges and hair in all the wrong places.

Lordfrontpaw · 17/05/2020 19:03

Please tell me they don’t publish photos like amazon....

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/05/2020 19:18

But the reviews actually say that these are a good fit for a man. Not a woman with a penis, a man.

Whatever their identity, they know they probably wouldn't get a review approved which mentioned their penis, and creeping women out is their raison d'etre. So they have to say man, because many people think a "trans woman" has had the op.

stillathing · 17/05/2020 20:02

I stumbled across a couple of reviews by the same guy on the Sainsburys Tu clothing website. In both reviews he feels it necessary to inform the reader that the ladies pants & ladies swimsuit fit well over his small appendage (I think that is what he called it - I clicked away in a hurry NOTE : THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR SALES, SAINSBURYS).

I was surprised at my reaction. I don't care if males wish to wear women's clothes. (I do care about fitting rooms being single sex though). But I had to leave the website right away because I didn't want to be involved in the man's fantasy. I think he wrote that stuff knowing women would see it and not like it, and crucially, knowing that women are powerless to do anything about it. It wasn't written to be a useful review - women's bodies are so different from men's, especially around the hips.

It was part of his fantasy and not a benign fantasy, because it preys on those with less power than him.

WhereAreWeNow · 17/05/2020 21:11

stillathing that's exactly how I felt. I don't care what this guy wears. I just don't want to be part of his fantasy just by reading his review.

I know you lot all reckon they're nasty knickers but I quite liked them Blush. Definitely not buying them now though!

M&S had my email address and I regularly received marketing emails. Which meant that I often clicked through and occasionally purchased from them.
Since seeing the reviews of women's underwear by men, on their site, I unsubscribed.

No big deal for M&S...but, I didn't buy food at Christmas and I didn't get Christmas jumpers there, and I didn't get new socks for the kids there, and I dont look there when I want more shower gel etc etc etc.

I reserve my custom for supermarkets and clothes retailers who dont publish fetishistic reviews.

Witchlight · 17/05/2020 22:41

Ok I’m going to go against the grain here. I think men can wear what they like. A dress, knickers, tights etc. All the clothes that are generally for someone female, according to society rule. It doesn’t make them a woman - they are just a man in a dress.

People can dress how they want, as long as it is appropriate and they still allow for single sex exemptions in changing rooms etc. By appropriate, I mean they should not wear crotch hugging lurex to go shopping, but at home, or a likeminded party, why not? The whole point is, that their right to do so, shouldn’t threaten. If a man is wearing what looks like very uncomfortable knickers, as long as he doesn’t flash them inappropriately- so what.

My great grandmother bought men’s long johns many years ago, to cycle in. She went to a menswear shop with her sister to choose them. Later, she took to wearing her brothers trousers as far more practical - it caused a bit of a scandal . If women can wear trousers, men can wear dresses. There are women who wear boxers, and men who wear knickers.

I think the sooner gender stereotypes of dress (or anything) are dismissed by everyone, the better.

EarlofEggMcMuffin · 17/05/2020 22:48

Absolutely "dress however you please.Call yourself whatever you like."

Personally, I dont feel any need to impose my reviews of (scratches head?) I dunno, condoms, maybe? by leaving them where men may find them.

It's not about what some men want to wear....its the thrill of crossing a boundary. That's all.
The little power play of going somewhere that you know you're not really supposed to be.

LaurieFairyCake · 17/05/2020 22:51

What should happen is that we all go on there and post multiple fetishistic reviews and then the whole lot will get taken down

And loads of women who think 'it's not a problem' will read them and actually think yeah, this is a fucking problem

Clymene · 17/05/2020 22:59

These men are getting off on women reading the reviews. It's bring virtually flashed. It's revolting and I'm amazed that any company wants to encourage this sort of stuff.

I guess M&S are fucking desperate at the moment since they shat all over their core market

Witchlight · 17/05/2020 23:00

Absolutely there is some power play going on. My great grandmother was a bit of a rebel, who not only went to university, but studied Maths. She told me how liberating it was to wear men’s clothes.

There should be no boundaries in clothing, as long as the clothing is not too sexual for the situation. If he gets a private thrill out of it 🤷‍♀️. If everyone could wear all styles of human clothing, I think it would be fine.

I think there would have to be some boundaries eg puppy play outfits to stay out of public places........ but a pair of knickers, so what

DuchessOfSofa · 17/05/2020 23:03

Well, Holy God Miley

Surprised at M&S approving autogynophilia reviews.
