Just had to share this, it made my skin crawl. Her use of 'handbag shield' is exceptional.

Ewwww the creepy way he stares at her........He is an odd bloke.

aliasundercover · 06/05/2020 15:50

He does look extremely creepy, and she does look very uncomfortable.

In a possible defence of him, camera operators and tv directors often make people stand in positions that would usually be unacceptable.

MrsDrudge · 06/05/2020 15:52

Very uncomfortable watch. And social distancing?

LouHotel · 06/05/2020 15:53

Not as appalling as telling Dr Rosena that she needed to mind her tone. I throw my phone at the TV when I saw that.

Laslow · 06/05/2020 15:55

Urgh, creepy fucker, not to mention social distancing...

Springersrock · 06/05/2020 15:58

That video is from December, not recently

He was very weird

RumbaswithPumbaas · 06/05/2020 16:00

I reckon someone made him stand there for a photo op or something and he doesn’t know what to do next

Lottapianos · 06/05/2020 16:03

This was well before social distancing, NOT that I'm defending him in the slightest. He looks like hes literally never seen a woman before. Her little move to the side and putting her handbag between them - nicely done. Shes been there before, and havent we all

SarahTancredi · 06/05/2020 16:04

God she leans back to get away and he still doesn't get the hint...

Unfortunate "crease" in the trousers too 🤮

Thelnebriati · 06/05/2020 16:28

I liked the 'back off' gesture at crotch height before she re-positioned her bag. (at about 5 - 6 seconds in)

Thisismytimetoshine · 06/05/2020 16:33

God, that video! He actually looks a bit simple Confused. Surely he's had enough pr experience to know how to act on camera?

SarahTancredi · 06/05/2020 16:36

He actually looks a bit simple

Less simple more forgetful maybe ? Forgot he wasnt on a crowded bus as the cover for rubbing his dick up against the woman standing in front of him..

Swooningmonkey · 06/05/2020 16:41

I feel uncomfortable just watching it.

Thisismytimetoshine · 06/05/2020 16:41

Well, that too Grin. Just the way his arms are hanging limply and his expression completely blank... I wouldn't like to meet that in a dark alley.

Cloudiay · 06/05/2020 16:43

I was starting to find him quite attractive (sea theory) but thankfully this has cured me.

WoollyMollyMonkey · 06/05/2020 17:05

Slimy bastard. So she’s Tory is she, so he had no problem with her ‘tone’ obviously.

fuckinghellthisshit · 06/05/2020 17:07

@SarahTancredi You've nailed it there. Jesus, the thought of that swinging around a pole on the A43 to Piccadilly, casually bumping his unfortunate victim :(

Antibles · 06/05/2020 18:36

Ewww. Watch it with the sound off. He looks like he's about to leap on her and eat her.

MoleSmokes · 11/05/2020 04:43

I swear I just stopped the video here by accident!

Caption competition time?? Grin

TBH to me he looks incredibly goofy and nerdy rather than leery - like a gormless junior school kid sent by teacher to sit at the same desk as the prettiest, cleverest girl in the class and he's, "OMG!!!! She's so pretty and so clever!!!! And I'm sitting next to her!!! I think I might faint!!!"

Even though this was prior to social distancing the only time it's appropriate to stand that close to a stranger is if you're packed into a full lift/train and have no choice about it. And even then you avoid eye contact rather than staring at them like they're a juicy steak. She looks so uncomfortable I wanted to reach through the screen and push him away from her.

Gncq · 11/05/2020 08:04

I must be missing something. They both look like ordinary people who are maybe slightly awkward in front of the camera but in a completely normal way.

She isn't "handbag shielding". Is it like, she's supposed to hold her handbag in a different way? More daintily perhaps, like in the crook of her elbow?

BillywilliamV · 11/05/2020 08:11

Christ, if anyone posted this amount of abuse about a woman's supposed character and personality, based on one video, you'd all be up in arms!
I would rather not judge our senior politicians entirely on whether they can look cool on camera!
You should all be ashamed of yourselves!

deydododatdodontdeydo · 11/05/2020 10:19

I watched it waiting for something to happen.
Yes he's stood a bit close and looks awkward, like he doesn't know where to put himself.
But he doesn't look creepy to me.
I hate people standing too close, so I would defintely have backed away, though.

MaMaLa321 · 11/05/2020 10:47

yes, let's base a character assessment on ONE bloody photo. You can tell absolutely everything about a person's character by that. Some posters should grow up.

...and remember that he recently distanced himself from the TWAW stance. Unlike Dr Rosena. Now SHE can take a running jump, as far as I'm concerned.
