I have been lurking on twitter lately and noticed Baroness Nicholson has been very active recently. Amongst her tweets are quite a few gems - letters to Liz Truss, tweets asking for evidence about Stonewall’s involvement CPS guidance just to name two.

This tweet I found very encouraging too.

It is imperative to restore the rights of women.I foresee a single issue, cluster approach;we make a new Women’s Rights movement lasting one year, solely to rescue womanhood from its destruction through today’s legal and social denial of our existence.Emma,BNoW

She has today written to Liz Truss again but this time with her concerns about the gross misinterpretation of the ECHR in the trans toolkits used in schools and recommends that such toolkits are removed from use now. Such support is great news.

I will try to post the letter for those not on twitter.

I look forward to seeing what what happens next.

It really is incisive to simply point out the inconsistencies to policy and at the same time ram the point home that lobby groups should not have this power.

It is good. She’s highlighted the issues of schools taking an affirmation only approach rather than the established watchful waiting and points out that even GIDS doesn’t recommend social transition before being seen by them.

Winesalot · 12/06/2020 16:43

Yes, rodgmum she certainly did! And before I read that, it did not even occur to me to think that.

How the hell did the department lose control over this?

The Baroness is currently tweeting the ‘tools’ in the RSE kits for schools. The dice game has really truly turned my stomach.

How can this be considered appropriate???

But she is tweeting other bits too.

TRAs are awfully focused on anuses, and awfully determined to make kids talk about them in a sexual context. I'm pretty sure this is a porn thing.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 15/06/2020 20:46

Also I notice that no matter how many body parts are being discussed the penis always has to be at the center, because of course it does.

Winesalot · 15/06/2020 20:46

Actually only a few specific examples as some is the support material for this game.

What a world we live in that we think a game like this is a fun way to teach kids about sex?

OP posts:
Winesalot · 15/06/2020 20:48

It is true. Penises are a highlight it seems.

On the other hand, piers Morgan would be happy. There is a penguin story for the 3-6 year olds about gender disphoric penguins.

Also who are these people who rub vulva and anus against each other, why would that be fun, and why do children need to know how to do it?

Winesalot · 15/06/2020 21:25

I actually cannot think how that works to be fair. Nor anus to anus. And object to object may only be so very arousing for people with over vivid imaginations.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 15/06/2020 21:28

I think it's meant to work like a dice game where you just throw, get two body parts, and then figure out how to rub them together. Which is super sexy, let me tell you.

Elbow to knee sex, it's the next big thing.

boatyardblues · 15/06/2020 21:32

Elbow to knee sex, it's the next big thing.

C’mon. You know there’s already some weird niche porn site where this is already a thing. I bet some wrong ‘uns really got off on the ‘Wuhan shuffle’ elbow to elbow handshake substitute at the start of COVID & have run with it.

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 15/06/2020 21:37

Jesus. I taught that age range. They would all be horrified. This is grooming.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 15/06/2020 21:39

At this point I'm cynical enough to suspect that the excruciating embarrassment this would cause the kids is probably part of the appeal for the people pushing it.

The Baroness’s letter to ASDA. You’ve been duped!!!!

Sorry for the poor quality pics. Here is the tweet.

I applaud ASDA's support for the LGB and T communities

She is so on the ball!

TedsFederationRep · 19/06/2020 17:51

She's good, isn't she? Grin

Dicotyledon · 19/06/2020 17:58

I get so fed up with people saying they love other famous people for doing good things, but I’m definitely feeling some uber-like for the Baroness. I wrote to her about sone of my concerns and actually got a letter back (via email).

ThinEndoftheWedge · 19/06/2020 18:14

The dice game...?

OMG. Grooming for paedophiles.

Fellatio for 6yr olds....? Where the hell did that come from??

ThinEndoftheWedge · 19/06/2020 18:16

On the aside -

Even if aimed for adults - which surely the dice game should ONLY be aimed at, I note clitoris is not there.

Funny how female sexual pleasure is irrelevant.

334bu · 19/06/2020 18:28

Beyond Magenta is a book recommendef in the teaching material. In it there is a section where a trans adolescent describes doing this as a six year old and enjoying the experience.

She's ace. I sigh with relief when I see how she gets it. She really gives me hope that this can be rowed back and sense prevail.
