Posted his request about 5 minutes ago (or at least thats when I saw it) on twitter.

Im not even particularly anti trans, but when I see attempts to whip up mobs like that, I feel that hes making people anti trans.

Sort makes me want to resort to making insidious dog whistle anti trans rhetoric just to fuck with him.

Leaving his trans stance aside, going by the rest of his twitter offerings, hes definitely not the person I would want as a GP. Lacks decorum and gravitas.

His attack on Mumsnet doesn't even make sense. It's just a forum. Mumsnet doesn't take an editorial line on this issue. Posters do tend to be in agreement, but I suspect that is because it's really difficult to use a site like Mumsnet and pretend that sex doesn't exist.

Serious question: what is wrong with Harrop? His behaviour isn't normal. Trying to get a parenting site closed down because people on it express opinions you disagree with isn't normal. Making jokes with a convicted criminal that could be construed as a veiled threat to attack a woman with a golf club isn't normal. Endlessly spewing out your hatred of women on Twitter isn't normal.

It's behaviour you might expect from one of the loony fringe men's rights activists. But it's not normal for someone who practises as a GP. It's absolutely deranged.

That's a very good question. Businesses will go under as a consequence of this blasted virus. The planet is on house arrest. Global economic activity has ceased. In the UK, one would imagine that most NHS doctors are preoccupied with the impact of this virus upon their patients and families. To choose this particular moment to target mumsnet and a dairy company? What does that say about this doctor's priorities?
