Sunshine and cool air

There is special place for women and girls not far from Badley Fuckitt where there is sunshine blue skies and clean cool air.
There is a sunny terrace for sun worshippers and a shady nook for those who prefer cooler air.

With no holidays expected anytime soon, some of you will be in need for a bit of rest and recuperation.

I haven't worked out how to get there yet. The portal to Badley Fuckitt is out of action. The one that used to be in Tesco's biscuit aisle is out of action as it is undergoing deep clean.

I wonder if any of you lot possess the knowledge to find your way to this special place reserved for females only.

And the only Corona here is an ice cold beer.
Cheers. 🍺

Can we have a portal in from the gulag please? Escape plan was foiled!

FlockofGulls · 05/04/2020 08:19

@WrathofFaeKIopp the cherries were first choice. They’re a new line and a change from the strawberry and banana frozen mix for smoothies.

I know the pearl clutchers would clutch, but I rate Iceland for their plain frozen vegetables and fruit. I just avoid their processed stuff

FlockofGulls · 05/04/2020 08:21

crudities and hummus
Snork

I0NA · 05/04/2020 08:25

Well I enjoyed them even if you don’t @FlockofGulls

Now I have a headache from drinking that whole bottle of Merlot myself and it’s all your fault.

FlockofGulls · 05/04/2020 09:45

I only had one glass of the merlot!

(And “snork” is high praise. The noise you make as you laugh while drinking the first coffee of the day ...)

Lollygaggles · 05/04/2020 18:53

I'm a bit late, but does anyone want pancakes? Grin

Lordfrontpaw · 05/04/2020 18:56

I have an awful lot of wine, a couple of bottles of champagne and a few large bags of Doritos. With dips of course.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 05/04/2020 19:10

I've just made pizzas. Taking tipping orders...

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 05/04/2020 19:10

Topping, not tipping. Sigh.

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 05/04/2020 20:05

I'm foisting sourdough on everyone left right and centre, will happily swap for some cherries in vodka. And I have a tin of chickpea juice half made vegan meringues.

Taking the post-apocalyptic diet seriously, here.

Winesalot · 05/04/2020 20:14

I have this new gin my husband brought me back from Australia. Four Pillars. It is really good with frozen easy peeler segments. (Frozen, not because I am a foodie, but because my kid refused to eat any and I can’t eat them raw due to my weird food allergy.... But they are great in this gin!!!)

Happy to share.

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 05/04/2020 20:26

Also, I can't seem to stop digging holes, so I will see if I can unearth a portal underneath the vegetable patch.

Michelleoftheresistance · 05/04/2020 20:35

You had me at crudities and hummus. Grin

I have fresh scones, home made jam and cucumber gin. Until I locate the Badley Fuckitt cows we'll have to do without clotted cream.

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 05/04/2020 20:37

I might try and relactate any moment, Michelle, if that's any use.

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 05/04/2020 20:44

You can freeze oranges? I did not know this.

I've got a bag of easy peelers, cos they were the only fruit in Asda this week. G&T with frozen orange segments sounds delicious.

FlockofGulls · 05/04/2020 21:27

Frozen orange segments are gorgeous - nicer than ice lollies.

FlockofGulls · 05/04/2020 21:28

I'm now eating my vodka-soaked cherries ...

Winesalot · 05/04/2020 21:30

You can freeze oranges. In segments as long as you don’t want them to have any structure when you defrost them. The little ‘juice sacs’ May be mush on defrosting. But they do make good ice blocks.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 05/04/2020 21:36

I always cut up the left over bits of lemons and limes for gin cooling but never thought of oranges. You witches wise women are most useful to have around.

Winesalot · 05/04/2020 21:41

And even soggy strawberries are brilliant as an ice cube I have discovered.

Winesalot · 05/04/2020 21:54

Not rotten strawberries though. Just if they are just losing firmness.

Michelleoftheresistance · 05/04/2020 22:15

Scrimp I might need a little time to get sufficiently crunchy and earthmother about that...

WrathofFaeKIopp · 05/04/2020 22:21

FlockofGulls
Yes Iceland is good for frozen fruit and for prawns too, all nicely separated for easy portion control.

Trouble is I forget about them until the freezer neeeds defrosting.

Nobody wants old fruits and prawns.

Ikeasucks knows everything there is to know about frozen prawns. Grin

I think I've found the sweet spot between crunchy and prepper-zombie-panic. Might spoil it all by taking up smoking again though.

WrathofFaeKIopp · 05/04/2020 23:07

Its like we don't actually need a rest but somehow we do need to escape Scrimpshaw.
Do you have a nicotine vest?
