I shall be glued to social media this morning and thought it might be useful to have a place where we can post updates as they come in so people need to follow just one thread.
Please post Twitter handles of anyone providing live updates as you find them.
@WeAreFairCop are saying it is likely the judgement will NOT be read out so they hope to get a copy and summarise and tweet after 10.30am

I honestly don't know. Who knows?! Sad

The contexts are slightly different; the police v an individual and then two individuals. I don't know if therefore this will be seen differently. I'm not a lawyer and don't understand the ins and outs.

The suffragettes originally were pushed back. Put in prison. Force fed

How soon history is forgotten. And they say we're the ones who didn't want gay rights...

My heart is thumping every time I press refresh. FairCop and Kate, everything crossed for you.

But if it doesn't go our way, we persist. Like the suffragettes.

I was just thinking about Lordfrontpaw's comment above:
Are they going to declare martial law and arrest all women with dangerous opinions?

Taking into account that many of us have small children, like Kate, what would I do? Would I keep stating my strongly held belief that female is something you're born as, not an option, for which I might lose my job & face criminal proceedings; or would I join the chant of TWAW to live an easy life?

I cannot believe it's an actual choice that potentially were going to have to make, solely because TRA and the government cannot admit that there's any conflict between TWAW (#nodebate) and women's rights.
Even though women HAVE been harmed, we HAVE been jailed with sexual offenders, we HAVE lost places on the winner's podium and on all women shortlists.

I can't bear the hypocrisy of the one-way victimhood, and the willful denial of things that have actually already happened.

Ugh. Rant over.

I was reading some books a while ago on the witch hunts and executions (yes I am a cheery sort) and I pondered ‘why wouldn’t they just say ‘ok ok ok! I don’t know what I was thinking! I was wrong!!’

Now I know - what soul searching they must have done. But I suppose they ‘knew’ they would get their reward in heaven.

Joining in with all the nervousness here. I wish them both well.

I'm slightly more optimistic about Harry's case. Although I can imagine a bit of a fudged non outcome that criticises both sides.

Kate I feel less positive about because it's a more emotive case involving people rather than organisations iyswim.

However after Maya's case I've given up pretending I can second guess likely outcomes so who knows.

I wish them both all the best.

The thing with the witch hunts was that they were drowned if they were innocent, guilty if they floated. It wasn't ever set up to allow anyone to escape.

FFS. If there is anyone who doubts that this is a war on women, hopefully this will open their eyes.

I understand the soul searching but as a mother of 2 young children I have to choose to fight on, short term pain for long term gains.
