Wot? Confused

Mossyrock · 05/02/2020 20:04

I googled but none the wiser. Which case is this Snippy?

HeronLanyon · 05/02/2020 20:05

As a lawyer I’m often in the RCJ. What’s going on that day ? (fearful it’s something I should/do know all about).

MrsSnippyPants · 05/02/2020 20:05

Harry Miller, see his Facebook page for details.

Gin ready.

HeronLanyon · 05/02/2020 20:23

Got it.

Redshoeblueshoe · 05/02/2020 20:25

I'm not optimistic purely because of the delay Gin Gin Gin

Mossyrock · 05/02/2020 20:28

Thanks.

teawamutu · 05/02/2020 20:33

O dear god. I can't face the idea of it going against him.

MrsSnippyPants · 05/02/2020 20:39

I don’t know whether to book a train ticket or stay home, avoid all media and ask a friend to pop round and break it to me gently over tea and cake!

bluejayblue · 05/02/2020 21:01

I'm not on facebook! what has he said?

FannyCann · 05/02/2020 21:08

I've been wondering if the delay is connected to Kate Scottow's case tomorrow.
So as not to influence it in any way? 🤷‍♀️

PenguindreamsofDraco · 05/02/2020 21:09

He's not doing anything daft that hints at the outcome is he? I know he's surrounded by lawyers who will be telling him it's embargoed but obviously there will be many eyes on him, many of them hostile.

ScrimshawTheSecond · 05/02/2020 21:14

Best prepare for the worst. Strapping myself into the handcart now.

ClosdesMouches · 05/02/2020 21:14

I was wondering the same thing Fanny.

MrsSnippyPants · 05/02/2020 21:45

Snippy

Thank you

OwlsFlyByNight · 06/02/2020 00:09

I feel sick as well after what happened to Maya. I was sure she’d win.

Datun · 06/02/2020 00:50

Thing is, losing almost creates more publicity, more controversy.

This issue is very topical and Harry's stance is the popular one.

None of this is going away.

BoreOfWhabylon · 06/02/2020 03:48

Datun is right, of course.

SingingLily · 06/02/2020 04:41

PMK...and hoping for the best.

BovaryX · 06/02/2020 06:11

Thank you MrsSnippy for the heads up. I think this judgement will be revelatory about the state of freedom of speech in the UK in the 21st century. Like many of us, I will be watching with a mixture of hope and dread.

FannyCann · 06/02/2020 08:14

Am I right in thinking the judge is the same judge who made some appalling sentencing remarks in the Natalie Connolly case?

RoyalCorgi · 06/02/2020 09:02

You are right, FannyCann. However, he made much more encouraging remarks during Harry's trial, so I am still hopeful.

Thinkingabout1t · 06/02/2020 09:23

But Maya’s judge also made encouraging remarks. I think that was to try to seem open-minded, whereas his final judgement was appalling.
