Jonathan Yaniv has, well, I am not sure how describe this. Let’s go with a narrative instead.

Jonathan Yaniv is, well, I don’t quite know how to describe this so let’s stick with a narrative.

Rather than provide a potentially inaccurate summary, I have copied and pasted the words of Anna Slatz, a freelance writer and friend to Yaniv’s victim, Amy Hamm.

To ensure that I do not contravene Mumsnet guidelines, I have had to make a few minor edits to remove references and links to a Fundrazr that Anna set up to help Amy but the narrative remains the same.

———————————————————————————————————————

On January 13, 2020, Amy Eileen Hamm of GIDYVR was sent by the Post Millennial to report live from the courthouse in Surrey where Jessica Yaniv was being heard on multiple prohibited weapons charges.

During a brief hearing recess, Amy went to the restroom where she saw Jessica Yaniv. She immediately exited the restroom. Yaniv accused Amy of taking photos of Yaniv in the restroom and demanded RCMP search her phone. The RCMP did so, and found no evidence that Amy had taken any photos.

Amy had been live-texting Twitter user GoinglikeElsieand I in a group chat the entire recess.

That same day, Yaniv violently assaulted Keean Bexte, a journalist with the Rebel Media. The RCMP are currently investigating this assault, which was caught on video.

In wake of the subsequent media blowback following the assault, and in an apparent attempt to have media banned from future court hearings for criminal activity, Yaniv has chosen to defame Amy Eileen Hamm, a young mother and feminist activist.

On January 15, 2020, Yaniv posted to their Twitter that Amy had sexually assaulted Yaniv at the Surrey courthouse. Yaniv contacted the RCMP and demanded an investigation be open into this entirely fabricated sexual assault.

[Edited to comply with Mumsnet guidelines regarding links & references]

On January 16, Amy retained the services of Jay Cameron of theJustice Centre for Constitutional Freedomsto pursue a case of defamation against Jessica Yaniv. Jay Cameron is a lawyer with the JCCF, a pro-bono firm which seeks to defend human rights and dignity in the face of seemingly overwhelming constitutional challenges. In 2019, the JCCF successfully defended four of the racialized women aestheticians Jessica Yaniv had taken to the BC Human Rights Tribunal for declining to wax Yaniv's male genitalia.

Because the JCCF has a specific mandate of focusing oninstitutional and constitutional cases, JayCameron is working independently from the JCCF for this case, with the assistance of anotherlawyer in British Columbia.

[Edited to comply with Mumsnet guidelines regarding links & references]

The JCCF is presently tackling [edit] Yaniv's persecution of yet another Sikh-owned aesthetic salon who declined to wax Yaniv's male genitals.

Your support is needed! Any kind words of support, love, and kindness for Amy and her legal team are alsomuch appreciated!

It strikes me that this nightmare person is seriously deranged, along with their mother. Why they are not locked up is a complete mystery to me. So good luck to anyone who moves to Canada (ahem).

Lordfrontpaw · 23/01/2020 09:42

I just read a news report saying they could get 5 years in jail (which I wonder). Why is no one counselling them - they are in a path of self destruction and people are just egging them on. It’s quite sad really.

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 23/01/2020 09:55

The end goal for them is to be in a woman's prison.
So basically fully rewarded for their behaviour.

Lordfrontpaw · 23/01/2020 10:08

I can’t see it quite living up to expectations

LangSpartacusCleg · 23/01/2020 11:42

A female prison would certainly constitute the validation he wants.

His behaviour is self destructive on many levels. I cannot imagine this will end well for him but, because of his behaviour, I am more concerned about the damage he could do to people around him first.

Yaniv is a dangerous person and the authorities and just letting it all unfold in plain sight.

ScrimshawTheSecond · 23/01/2020 12:34

Yaniv is indeed a dangerous, violent predator. If convicted, it will be interesting to see where Yaniv is placed. The difference between, say Karen White and Yaniv is that Yaniv is both widely known and known to be a sexual predator. It'd take some balls to put Yaniv in a woman's prison.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 23/01/2020 12:36

I don't doubt they might do it, but it will be an international scandal that will make Canada look batshit.

I think Yaniv should probably be sectioned, or whatever the equivalent is there.

GeordieTerf · 23/01/2020 12:48

It may be a good thing (in the long run) if they do attempt to put Yaniv in a female prison. It will surely peak trans millions?

(Obviously, it would be very dangerous for the female prisoners though, so I don’t want this to happen!)

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 23/01/2020 12:52

I think women prisoners are so much ignored by society that I don't think it will have much effect on anyone other than the poor women who have the misfortune to be locked up with him.

SarahTancredi · 23/01/2020 12:55

There will likely be babies/small children in the prison unless they pick one that has no mother and baby unit.

Otherwise it's like locking the kid in the candy store...

FleetsumNLangCleg · 23/01/2020 12:55

I don't doubt they might do it, but it will be an international scandal that will make Canada look batshit.

From what I get from my friends and family in Canada, this is not necessarily going to happen...because Canadians won't know, or are fed a very skewed narrative.

I had to tell Canadian friends and family about Yaniv. They thought I was bonkers. Very little of this stuff gets reported.

It may be a good thing (in the long run) if they do attempt to put Yaniv in a female prison. It will surely peak trans millions?

Dangerous trans prisoners are already in Canadian prisons (see Meghan Murphy video with ex-prisoner)

SarahTancredi · 23/01/2020 12:56

But judges seem reluctant to jail at all so I suspect it will he another slap on the wrist

Lordfrontpaw · 23/01/2020 13:05

They can’t keep doing that though. People do escalate - threats, harassment, physical assault... they don’t just wake up one day and think ‘aw shucks, I’m going to be nice as pie from now on’.

I thought their mum said they (plural) were going to go and live in israel?

SarahTancredi · 23/01/2020 13:11

If course they escalate. But wasbt a paedophile just released because they identified as a woman whilst in a meme prison and the oestrogen apparently lowered the risk of offending so significantly they were deemed safe to release.

The police have been used something chronic by yaniv to the point where not placing them in a womans prison would make them all look so stupid. I really think that unless JY actually kills someone they womt be jailed because I dont think the judges would really want to have to Make.the decision of where to send them.

Its happened before a few times where rather than determined where to out them people have just walked free

ItWentInMyEye · 23/01/2020 13:18

He's absolutely insane, I look at his twitter every so often and it baffles me how he gets away with so much of it.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 23/01/2020 13:33

From what I get from my friends and family in Canada, this is not necessarily going to happen...because Canadians won't know, or are fed a very skewed narrative.

No, but journalists like Anna Slatz, the others at the Postmillenial, and Goinglikeelsie, and of course Meghan Murphy will publicise it on social media and outside Canada.

RevolutionofourTime · 23/01/2020 15:04

I’m completely missing the point here, but I find “racialized”, as in the expression “racialized women”, extremely grating and insulting. It’s constantly being used by Canadian lobby groups and newspapers. It makes it sound as if ethnicity is purely a passive social construct, as if to say “people have made you believe that you belong to an ethnic group.” But in that case, surely it applies to everyone, even white people (in Canada)? And therefore it’s completely meaningless.

Back to the point - Of course Yaniv is either insane or evil. Possibly both.

RevolutionofourTime · 23/01/2020 15:08

On Canadian wokeness, there is famous trans murderer who is currently fighting to be transferred to a women’s prison in Quebec. The murderer started their transition a few months ago after receiving a long custodial sentence. Interestingly, the media in Canada don’t seem to worry about dead naming- the murderer’s male and female names, and photo, are being used in all the articles I’ve read.

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 23/01/2020 15:20

Yaniv is the eternal victim. When Yaniv can’t find even a tenuous sleight to have a tantrum about they make something up.

I think prison staff are in for an interesting time.

Lordfrontpaw · 23/01/2020 16:27

How old are they? This has been going on for quite some time now (I remember as far back as the google glasses profile pic).
