Does anyone have a good image / screenshot of the radicalised by mumsnet stickers (or know where to buy them from?)

WrathofAsyouwereKIop · 26/01/2020 18:43

Fun yet educational videos
Grin
Sounds like primary school.

heathspeedwell · 26/01/2020 19:38

If you Google 'making badges' there are lots of companies who will make them with a 48-hour turn around.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered three that say, "Radicalised by Mumsnet" which my friends and I will be wearing next week.

Becles · 26/01/2020 20:23

Hi @heathspeedwell

Thank you. Do you have a link to the company or an image I could use?

Dolorabelle · 28/01/2020 14:29

I have a ticket (in the last batch released on Saturday).

Does anyone know how I sign up for specific workshops?

Also, is there a secret MN massive handshake?

ChickenonaMug · 28/01/2020 14:42

I think that the date for signing up online has gone and that you will need to sign up on the day.

Has anyone who did sign up online to the workshops have any confirmation email or anything about their choices?

Dolorabelle · 28/01/2020 14:47

Oh, OK. All the sessions look good. And several friends & colleagues will be there, so I'll also have to fit in good old gossip ... Grin

midclegs · 29/01/2020 10:36

Chicken I was wondering about having confirmation about the sessions I chose! I've not. I have forgotten which ones I did so hopefully they have it documented somewhere

ArranUpsideDown · 29/01/2020 11:07

Has anyone who did sign up online to the workshops have any confirmation email or anything about their choices?

No. But in the latest email they mention that after we register on Saturday we'll receive our personalised programme that tells us which events we're attending.

People who haven't selected panels/workshops will be able to do so after registration (tho' it will be a comparatively limited choice).

Becles · 30/01/2020 22:15

I have ribbons!! Properly excited about this gathering

midclegs · 31/01/2020 14:59

Me too. I've not sorted out anything MN-y so I'm going to be counting on you all :-)

Dolorabelle · 31/01/2020 15:50

I’m on the train to London Town!!! Very excited but expecting to get totally crushed by the crowds. Let’s hope we don’t have to run the gauntlet of TRAs to get into the building.

It’s really progressive politics isn’t it, to try to shut down a Women’s Liberation Conference.

Because I got one of the very last tranche of tickets I wasn’t able to sign up for workshops and the one I REALLY wanted to do (free speech in HE) is full. May have to try to talk my way in - WPUK knows about how I was doxxed and complained about by students (whom I’d never taught) for my rampant “transphobia”.

Dolorabelle · 31/01/2020 15:51

But there are loads of there - I may sit in on the decolonisation one

NonnyMouse1337 · 31/01/2020 15:54

Best wishes to Women's Liberation 2020! Hope everyone who is attending has a great time, and makes lots of new connections.

MrsFogi · 31/01/2020 16:01

Looking forward to it!! I suspect my Friday evening is going to be spent tearing the house apart to find the blue ribbon I know I have somewhere. In order to make the most of the local networking sessions it might be good if a person from each "Mumsnet Local" area starts a post on their area to find others in the area - both to make it easier tomorrow, in the future and maybe also to find GC feminists in each area who can join any future local meet ups that will hopefully happen as a result of some of us meeting in RL! I have set up one for Bromley here The Bromley GC Feminist Chapter!!.

Dolorabelle · 31/01/2020 18:08

I have no blue ribbons, but will be wearing purple & green - suffragette colours - although the white will be a tshirt under my jumper.

nonsenceagain · 31/01/2020 18:46

Can we put our blue ribbons anywhere? Mine is too short to go around my wrist Confused

OhHolyJesus · 31/01/2020 18:48

Thanks New, I welcome the protest from a freedom of speech POV but from a safety perspective are we expecting police or security to be in the area?

Dolorabelle · 31/01/2020 19:00

Yes, it's really progressive to protest against a conference celebrating Women's Liberation and marking the 50 years since the first Women's Lib conference in 1970, isn't it?

Very very progressive to protest against women's rights.

Newuser123123 · 31/01/2020 19:04

They're making masks too. Nothing suggests peaceful, liberal, female solidarity like masked men shouting at women.

MrsFogi · 31/01/2020 19:12

@nonsenceagain - I am going to tie mine onto my handbag.

Ibloodylovewomen · 31/01/2020 19:13

I can't go as I'm ill Sad, so hopefully WP have passed on my ticket to someone else. I was really hoping to find some local women to connect with (have contacted Resisters several times but they've not got back to me), so am gutted to not be going.

Have a great time all, and good luck walking the gauntlet through the masked, blue haired teens. It'll be like a February Halloween Grin

nonsenceagain · 31/01/2020 19:22

@MrsFogi great idea. Thanks. Mine is very light blue but should count I hope.

MrsFogi · 31/01/2020 19:31

Mine is v light blue too nonsenceagain. I am also going to write - "Radicalised by MN" on it Grin
