Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Hair colour apparently means you’re trans now and also TRAs are not MRAs

I’ve lurked for quite a while and seen some of you refer to feminists supporting trans people as ‘the blue hair brigade’. What’s the reason for an attack on a person’s appearance? Surely that’s the opposite of feminism? Reminds me of the whole ‘I’m not like other girls because I’m smart and I read and I don’t wear makeup’. And what does blue hair have to do with trans people?! It’s more punk than anything!
I also saw someone compare trans activists to men’s rights activists. Wtf? They’re not the same, come on you know.
It’s probably obvious we don’t share the same views but at least be civil.

I find describing the behavior to be the most effective tool to determine if the person screaming insults at me is a member of a gang or a cult.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 20/12/2019 18:26

Well here's my hair: say hi to the reindeer whose name is Jeff.

Can anyone tell me exactly what I am please? Confused

Awesome. Great hair!

DetroitDReindeer · 20/12/2019 18:48

How do you get the pink to stick? Mine washed out so fast.

Really cool hair! Can't tell your sex from the back of your head if that's what you are asking.

Unfortunately a lot of interestingly haired individuals exhibit anti gc ideology, hence it being used as a mild perjorative descriptive for the lib fem/tra/MRA conglomeration that tend to enjoy telling women with boundaries to die in grease fires, suck dick, and various other lewd and scary threats

I thought twice about the pink hair (cotton candy manic panic) for that reason, but had always wanted pink hair and it's now or never. Sadly faded out quick despite it being on mostly naturally white. I figure I need to bleach.

WombOfOnesOwn · 20/12/2019 18:50

If trans rights aren't men's rights, how come FTMs don't count as male for the purpose of titles of nobility? Isn't that funny? Isn't it strange how men's only clubs also don't accept FTMs (and in fact keep members who are MTFs)?

Hollering for prisoners to be put "with their preferred gender" is a men's rights tactic, too. It's not equal to both sexes, and one of those sexes would be disproportionately hurt by being sent to the prisons of their chosen gender.

"In my day, there was talk of the way particularly spectacular Mohicans were kept in place by PVA glue."

My friend's brother was a punk. Most of them used soap to keep their hair up, though I did hear about some using PVA glue for the really spiky styles.
I remember him and a friend sitting outside the shopping centre, mixing hair dye in a can of cider and applying it with a toothbrush. The two elements neutralised (dye alkaline, cider acidic) and the rain did the rest in washing it all out when they'd finished Grin

Deliriumoftheendless · 20/12/2019 19:28

Sugar. Makes your hair spike hard. Messy.

Sorry for derail (had my hair a lot of colours too. Since the 1980s.)

FloralBunting · 20/12/2019 19:47

Look, it's fine. I'm one of the really naughty FWR regulars, with blue hair, and I know that when someone talks about blue haired wokesters, it's not a wish for all blue haired people to die, or even that those with blue hair are 'less' than those with natural pigmented locks.

People only think I'm silly on here because I like Doctor Who and do all that religious guff in church.

SetYourselfOnFire · 20/12/2019 21:50

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeak. Come on OP, you can troll harder. I believe in you.

SophoclesTheFox · 20/12/2019 22:05

MRAs spent decades and years trying to work out how to fuck up women's rights.
Trans rights came along. How overjoyed they were!

All the Beardy blokes, the blue-haired enbies, the "woke" dude crew, how ecstatic they are to finally be allowed to release their misogyny, hurl abuse, destroy women's rights, and do it in a way that is semi-convincingly "right on". Like a semi hard on.

How they openly love it everytime a woman's sporting world record is broken by a male.
How they love it when women are raped by a male in a women's prison.
How they love it when same sex toilets in schools become "gender neutral" (mixed sex) despite desperate pleading against that change from girls.
How they love it when women-only shortlists can finally be destroyed.
How they love it when women are sacked from work, no-platformed, sent death threats, rape threats, physically surrounded by the crowing blue-haired mob for daring to speak between themselves.

Seriously, the TRA agenda has been the most successful MRA agenda imaginable.

I'm not at all surprised that MRAs have supported the whole thing since the beginning, and why it has escalated to such extremes we are seeing now.

Agrona · 21/12/2019 04:44

TheIneberati

Can't stop laughing. Thanks.

By the by, what happened to the OP?

MRA's and TRA's appear to share a lot of beliefs about the place of women. (It is not a good place.)

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 21/12/2019 11:28

@DetroitDReindeer

Thank you Blush I was just using the opportunity to show off my Christmas hair and to highlight the bizarreness of trying to ascertain anything about anyone from their hair colour alone.

Hadn't considered that you cant tell my sex from the pics. I'm female Smile

I'm very dark haired naturally. So ….. first we bleach. Then the colours go no. Then the trees and reindeer are painted. My lovely hairdresser does it all freehand. How to get the colours to stick? (Whispers quietly): I don't wash it. Ever. I just rub some coconut oil through it each morning Blush

Sorry to derail the thread with trivialities. I am an ardent supporter of women's rights, am growing ever angrier about the use of trans rights as a weapon against women's rights and will not be silenced over this.

I'm thinking I might put dark teal highlights in mine. Could this be considered camouflage?

Deliriumoftheendless · 21/12/2019 14:05

I dyed mine turquoise this morning but it looks blue. It’s ok. Makes a change from pink. I’ll be bored soon and go purple I think.

DetroitDReindeer · 21/12/2019 17:56

No washing!! I dont think I can go short enough for that to work. Can I ask what brand you use? Im looking at the artic fox pink, but it's a bit red for my liking. I thought it would grab naturally white hair, but it really doesn't.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 21/12/2019 18:35

Awesome hair nicelegs

FloralBunting · 21/12/2019 20:23

I am delighted you found a pic of me, and I am now eager to tell you all about my pussy.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 21/12/2019 20:28

Oh shit floral

I was sat here thinking WHAT THE FUCK HAVE I MISSED!!!!

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 21/12/2019 20:28

Nothing sticks well to naturally white hair in terms of dye, according to my hairdresser, but reds fade especially quickly.

FloralBunting · 21/12/2019 20:37

Yes, reds fade quicker than blue, definitely. Whenever mine's been red, it's faded quicker than the career of whoever wins The Voice. I dyed my hair blue some time ago and I actually think blue hair is the hair version of Hotel California.
