In today’s web chat John McDonnell confirmed that they will bring in self ID for your legal sex, effectively
making their manifesto pledge re single sex spaces pointless

This is what I always suspected

There is no safety in Labour for women and they have not had a change of heart

Labour’s pledge re exemptions is meaningless

Oh, I'm wary, don't worry. Just wish we could ever get a straight answer to a simple question.

I feel conflicted on who to vote for but I feel that the erosion to women's rights will be irreversible so I am going to vote Tory.

I realise that this means that in many people's eyes I am scum. I am going to redouble my efforts and contribution towards projects to assist women and children in poverty and fighting illnesses within my own community because I do recognise that there is a trade off here.

I am hoping that there will be a Lib Dem or Labour Party to vote for at the next election but, as my DSis says "if you don't shame them, they never learn"!

Although this thread and the spoiled ballot thread has made me think about spoiling my ballot.....

Ann Henderson has been pilloried as an evil t*rf witch (paraphrased) by the usual suspects since becoming chair of the NEC equalities subcommittee.

I suspect it might be down to her that this stuff about protecting the exemptions got into the manifesto in the first place.
