Hi,

I've been invited to put a question in a Husting (con, lab, lib, green) I get one question and no response. Please help me phrase a question regarding single sex space. It's doing to be televised.

I would assume that the respondent would:

  1. Know little about the issue.
  2. Give a vague, uncontroversial, answer.

I think it's very difficult to ask a question which gets the issue across to a general audience. So I would go very specific and very practical to make it hard to dodge and plant a seed about the extent of the problem, e.g.

Do you agree with the recommendation from the National Police Chief's council to allow male police officers to perform searches on women prisoners if they identify as female?

Hey OP

Are you going to come back to the other thread you started in FWR?

I’m loving Catilyn Jenner but?

Whats the point of asking about single sex spaces if no one can agree 'what is a woman'?

Woman = biological definition, belonging to the sex class that produces large gametes that transfer mitochondrial DNA to the offspring, that gestate the young, that lactate; non male, adult human female (eg the dictionary and legal definition.)

Do you agree with that? If not, what is your definition, and what is your motive for this thread?

Do you accept that women need safe spaces due to the risk of male violence?

Do the feelings of a small minority of people reduce this risk in any way?

If not then why are we using these feelings as a reason for removing women's spaces?

@GirlDownUnder I have read every response but despite starting the thread I no longer feel qualified to comment.
