Looking for kids letter to Santa and found this

I'm not going mad, am I? This isn't ok, is it?

Amidst the list of Santa letter kits on Amazon this appeared. Either I need to give my head a wobble or things are just continuing to get worse for women. The suggested recipient list included wife, girlfriend, sister, aunt, cousin.

Help me make sense of why I feel so angry about this

Ah is chaps who are giving it the Hmm and suggesting op is on her way out, is it?

What a surprise.

TooLateThePhalarope · 24/11/2019 15:42

Women saying things are sexist really brings out the worst in some people doesn't it

Does it Fraggling? I've said several times the card was horrible. I've also refuted the suggestion that there would be an equally nasty version for men.

The OP would appear to have a problem with browsing settings and cookies.

Fraggling · 24/11/2019 15:43

Well maybe that comment wasn't aimed at you then?

Not everything is about you, something to ponder Grin

Antibles · 24/11/2019 15:51

Horrible.

See, it's not a free choice laydees. You're on Santa's naughty list if you've got a hairy fanny. Being an acceptable female means giving in to pressure from porn-addled men.

We might control our own purse strings but men now police our pubes. Thanks porn.

I'd be extremely surprised if it was caused by either cookies or settings since I'm very careful with both. I've tried the search again today and it doesn't give the same result. I haven't changed anything since yesterday so I don't know why it did it yesterday and not today.

Don't worry about it op. I mean if people want to think you're a lying weirdo who is not long for this earth then let them Grin

ExchangedCat · 24/11/2019 16:08

Thanks Fraggling Smile I didn't see the deleted post but that's probably for the best!

I've had some results on amazon, to innocuous searches, that were surprising to say the least (and don't ever click on them, or they keep coming back!) - it does happen, things get mis-tagged or whatever, and could easily be fixed the next day (especially as someone contacted the seller!)

I am struggling to understand why it's funny though - even aside from the sexism in it all, I just don't get it. "you're on santa's naughty list for having long toenails" - similar thing, (non-sexist) but it's not funny - it's just totally missing the funny.

With you.

Unless it's a subversive message about how women's refusal to conform to commonly held myths about femininity can result in social sanction? Then it might be slightly amusing.

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 24/11/2019 17:15

'S not though. It's just putting 'fanny' on a card so wankers can snigger at fannies.

Confusedbeetle · 24/11/2019 17:18

plenty of men want their women to look prepubescent, says it all really
