Wonderful strong women, all of them. Imagine paying for a full page ad in a newspaper in order to bully specific women by name. Wrong side of history my arse, as they say in Leeds.

I just googled them, they give an address of being with an organisation called Fetter Together in Edinburgh. They also have a petition in place to get Joan McAlpine and Jenny Murra to design on change.org. They are linking it to Transgender Day of Remembrance as apparently JM and JM invited some speakers to the Scottish Parliament on this day and the speakers were not approved.

I am out of words, really. I wish women could just be left alone.

Okay, so they are purporting to be linked to the independence campaign?

Joanna Cherry is awesome. Nothing else to add.

Their petition has the grand total of 24 signatories, mind you I expect a few “lurkers” will sign it today.

I’d suggest a mass reporting of the petition as it describes Joanna as “anti trans”, which is a lie, but I expect Joanna would want it there for all to see.

Joanna is a shero.

All three of them are very brave and principled women.

I want a UK with Scotland in it so I wouldn’t agree on a lot of independence issues with Joanna Cherry, but I’m interested in her political story and her views and I have full respect for principled politicians like her, so I’ll have a listen later.

She’s so strong. Such an admirable woman.

Why have they written it in Scots? Has it become more common in this kind of discourse? It just seems to obscure their point a bit.

I think we can gather from this that it is extremely cheap to take a full page advert out in the Glasgow Herald.

This reads like someone in their bedroom with too much time on their hands. The colours, let alone the rather clunkily written Scots, and the obsessive targeting of specific female politicians.

I might actually be a bit careful about this person.

He/his company have also been paying for anti- Brexit/ pro- separatist billboard campaign.

Yes, it's a one man campaign. I honestly would recommend people are careful with things like this. I could be a bit paranoid, but crusades are not generally healthy.

Cherry et al are far braver than I can even imagine. I wrote to my SNP MP and asked him if he supported the SNP Women's pledge. Straight fight between Tory and SNP in my constituency, so we'll see what his response is.

Is there a list of MP/MSP signatories to the SNP Women's Pledge online? I'd like to check if my MP has signed or not.
