Clearly they don't want my vote. They're not getting it.

Don’t forget this lovely follow up...

They haven't quite got the hang of this election thing have they? Grin

GCAcademic · 22/11/2019 15:02

No one wants to win this election, do they? I don't blame them, who the hell would want to deal with Brexit, or even the fall-out from reversing Brexit?

user1473069303 · 22/11/2019 15:02

They are either sexist or living on a different planet. Either way, it's a big fail.

WomanBornNotWorn · 22/11/2019 15:07

The responses are great

What an utterly pathetic message. Why do they think it’s acceptable to toss this slur around? Do they have any critical thinking skills or do they just regurgitate what’s trending on Twitter? I really hope this joke of a party get the result they deserve

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 22/11/2019 15:15

Good job I wasn't planning on voting for the spoiled toddlers then.

MidnightCircus · 22/11/2019 15:16

Well. That's nice of them. Might rename them the Liberal Dumbocrats now...

picklemepopcorn · 22/11/2019 15:17

Deary me. I wish someone would make the smallest effort to get me to vote for them. I'd throw my undying devotion at them, as well as my vote.

LangCleg · 22/11/2019 15:17

Nobody has learned anything from Brexit.

You cannot ignore at best or vilify at worst a huge proportion of the electorate. Because, in the end, they will revolt.

artisanparsnips · 22/11/2019 15:23

Now that the High Court says that TERF is derogatory, what happens if we report every high profile tweet which uses it. Might be fun.

Siameasy · 22/11/2019 15:25

Oh dear-silly children. The adults are here now

CravingCheese · 22/11/2019 15:31

Aren‘t the LibDems a bit nutty anyway?

popehilarious · 22/11/2019 15:36

I was going to hold my nose and vote for them. Anything but Tories.
I'm not going to vote libdem now, no way.

Michelleoftheresistance · 22/11/2019 15:38

For avoidance of doubt, young LibDems are standing firmly on a platform of …. well.

Prioritising a small percentage of males while vigorously showing hostility to females, particularly the ones who have experienced male violence, disabled people, people of minority faiths and cultures, anyone concerned with safeguarding children and homosexual people.

Nice, liberal values they have going there.....

Batshit. Utter batshit.

Goosefoot · 22/11/2019 15:50

I agree with this, but I wonder how to get people to see it.

A lot of people I think are imagining themselves as in a similar position as someone responding to racist bigots in the 60s or 70s saying things like they don't want blacks in white neighbourhoods.

They take the view that everyone would agree that people like that should have been vilified and not given the time of day. At best, acknowledge that a lot of people have a long way to go, and think about how to move them along - but don't consider whether their views might have validity.

So far I haven't figured out how to engage with that perception.

0SometimesIWonder · 22/11/2019 16:06

Oops ! Just lost my vote LibDems.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 22/11/2019 16:08

What popehilarious said.

Angryresister · 22/11/2019 16:26

Like policy on Brexit but this means I wont vote for them.

SanFranBear · 22/11/2019 16:32

Pickle - I'm with you. If just ONE party was completely supportive of the feminist position, I'd be all over them like a rash..

TolstoyAteMyHamster · 22/11/2019 16:35

Every time I think I can just about bring myself to vote for them, they make it easy for me to decide against doing so.

Not that any of the other parties are helping, either. I have never felt so disenfranchised and I have been voting for a long time.

JoyceJeffries · 22/11/2019 16:50

Maybe the Lib Dem’s can enjoy their erasure?

iguanadonna · 22/11/2019 16:53

'Liberal' seems not to mean what I thought it did. At least not when applied to women's liberties.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 22/11/2019 17:00

It's amazing, isn't it. Tim Fallon could scarcely bring himself to accept that it was OK for people to be same-sex attracted and now the LibDems are pushing for self-ID and an end to sex-based exemptions to the Equality Act, and refusing to accept gender critical women as members.

For Brexit reasons, I would have liked to vote for them or for the Greens, but I can't do it.

No idea who to vote for.

donquixotedelamancha · 22/11/2019 17:22

Tim Fallon could scarcely bring himself to accept that it was OK for people to be same-sex attracted

That was not his position at all. He strongly supported gay rights. He was the last proper Liberal leader. He was hounded out for having religious beliefs.
