Thank you for fantastic tweeting Spero. And a huge well done to Harry and the team. Truly excellent

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 21/11/2019 18:09

Been following but not commenting on this (and also Maya Forstater's case) and now seems a good time to add my thanks and those of my family, friends and the random workmen currently fitting my new kitchen, to all those involved.

Everyone I have spoken to on this matter in real life is 100% behind you. Never forget that you, not the ridiculous TPAs are in the majority Flowers

ClosdesMouches · 21/11/2019 18:09

Thank you for the excellent tweeting, Spero.
Also thanks to all at Fair Cop for doing this.

Cocolapew · 21/11/2019 18:12

You've been amazing Spero Star

Cuntysnark · 21/11/2019 18:14

Thank you so much. To everyone involved.

RoyalCorgi · 21/11/2019 18:18

Thanks so much , Spero - ace tweets.

And thanks to the judge for his brilliant combination of legal knowledge and common sense. (Luckily in this case the common sense view coincides with the legal one.)

And what a corker of an editorial from the Telegraph. Never thought I'd say that.

GeordieTerf · 21/11/2019 18:22

Is there a summary of the events of the passed few days anywhere?

Birdsfoottrefoil · 21/11/2019 18:26

Geordie I recommend reading the tweets from the live tweeting. I know Harry’s judge commented that it was a court not a theatre but it had all the elements: drama, suspense, comedy...

RedDogsBeg · 21/11/2019 18:29

With regard to the 'chilling effect' and that Harry was harmed by the Police intervention, am I right in recalling that the Police turned up at his work place and insinuated that he would be in trouble with his employers? I seem to recall Harry telling Pc Gul that he owned the company. If I am right there is no more evidence needed to prove the 'chilling effect', and the disgrace of the Police actions.

Datun · 21/11/2019 18:34

Ooo this thread is like a party ! 🎂🥂🍾🍷🎊🎉

Thanks Spero !!! ❤️

BoreOfWhabylon · 21/11/2019 18:37

Harry also said he'd had a call from a police Inspector, didn't he?

Angryresister · 21/11/2019 18:38

Brilliant tweets, brilliant judge....with this And Maya’s case it looks as though the push back is now happening. Thank you.

TheShoesa · 21/11/2019 18:39

Was it not the Inspector who said 'If you don't like it, sue us!' or words to that effect?

Massive thanks and huge respect to Harry and all at Fair Cop

PurpleHoodie · 21/11/2019 18:42

Inspector: So sue us.

People: Ok.

Angryresister · 21/11/2019 18:47

And a special mention for scapa for her small remark connecting the mysterious mr Tucker to M & S pants. Reduced me to hysterical tears for about half an hour....thank you for cheering me up.....not to mention the general hilarity of the CofP defence.....

RaymondStopThat · 21/11/2019 18:59

I'm going to use the judge's words every time I report people to Twitter for calling me a TERF.

So pleased with how things seemed to have gone and that the judge got it. Hopefully this is the beginning of some immense changes.

mcduffy · 21/11/2019 19:02

Thanks Spero, you shero!
Today's workday has fitted around a refresh of this thread and twitter whenever I could. My colleagues might have wondered about my permanent grin Grin

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 21/11/2019 19:04

My best bit (to paraphrase)
"it sounds like you impeached on his freedom of speech"
"This person was very upset"
"I understand that but there is nothing here that constitutes hate or harassment"
"You don't seem to understand just how upset they were, and we not talking criminal harassment...."
"There is nothing here that constitutes harassment under any definition of the term"

MoobaaMoobaa · 21/11/2019 19:06

Thank you Harry for going through this and getting a light shone on it, and Thank you Spero keeping us updated.

I found this an interesting read.

Great big thanks Spero. Takes a lot of energy to do us all this service

It is a very common tactic of police to "inform" employers that an employee has just been arrested. Regardless of whether they are then released without charge or "de-arrested" a second later.

Once again, this sort of stuff has been going on for years. But nobody gave a toss. Or not enough of a toss to do anything about it.

If you raise wolves, you will be eaten. Just a matter of time.

Butterisbest · 21/11/2019 19:15

My thanks to Harry, Spero and all those that contributed to the hole that needed to be filled.

Clymene · 21/11/2019 19:20

Enormous thanks to everyone at Fair Cop and big love to @Spero.

You are all absolutely exceptional human beings. Thank you for standing up against this institutional capture and shining a light on the sinister implications of a nebulous ideology ThanksThanksThanksThanksThanks

Yes, I suppose it depends if you have been unlucky enough to fall foul of the police, otherwise most people remain oblivious to what is going on.

If we see this case in the context of the information in this Spectator article from 2015, things become even more worrying.

FloraGreysteel · 21/11/2019 19:57

Thank you @Spero for your excellent tweets, and @HazzaTheOwl it was lovely to meet you last night. Fingers crossed for a successful outcome in this extremely important case!

PS the buffet was very welcome Grin
