Agreed. I think it proves how restricted the debate has been, @mcduffy, and shows that really it's the blue haired brigade who are the ones in an echo chamber, not us.

Full credit to Mumsnet HQ for continuing the debate on here, I know the talk guidelines are frustrating a lot of the time but there's few other places where we can even say this much. I wouldn't know anything about this issue if it weren't for Mumsnet. It's why the TRAs hate this site so much.

Once you allow people to speak it's empowering. And this debate has been a one way street for years - it's way past time that women (and men) were allowed to speak out about one of the biggest social changes being forced on an unwilling (and usually unaware) population.

I have posted this article on our local Facebook page; women are tentatively asking me about it, the men are, without exception, refuting it and asking for evidence of every single ‘claim’ . Sigh.

I noticed last night there are now 771 comments under this article & the recent ones are in the same vein as the earlier ones - ie very supportive.

I don’t know how the subscription works but is it possible for someone to share this again?
