Constituency Labour Party approves motion supporting women's rights and WPUK. Respectful of trans issues (though the lobby is claiming otherwise...) Vote was 46 to 29, so a clear majority.

I can't easily make links, but see Twitter.

Thank you, Hornsey and Wood Green!!

Bit of good news for us all.

By the way - it wasn't Tottenham CLP posting that tweet - it was Tottenham Young Labour. There's a difference!

So WPUK is transphobic. End of. A no debate issue seemingly... Hmm

Open Letter In Support Of Trans Labour Members

We are members of the Labour Party expressing solidarity with trans people in the face of hate from the media and by anti-trans groups in the UK. We recognise that the UK has recently experienced a week of coordinated pernicious attacks on trans people, including the launching of the execrable LGB Alliance and a motion passed at Hornsey & Wood Green General Meeting in support of Womans Place UK. The failure of the Labour Party on this issue is a deep wound to the principles of equality the Party is supposed to stand for.

Let us be under no illusions. The motion passed at Hornsey & Wood Green supports a transphobic organisation:

How the fuck do people think their politics are all woke and righteous and at the same time, they vilify women’s rights organisations?! Confused

Siameasy · 29/10/2019 09:13

Cos woke politics is often (apart from racism) about things being -phobic and there is no woman-phobic to latch onto
They don’t care about women as many of them are fully bought into the sex positive man pleasing type of feminism
They are also big fans of be nice and safe spaces (ie no one disagreeing with them)apart from safe spaces for women at which point it becomes transphobic and round we go again
It’s all about saying the right thing. Appearing to think pure thoughts. Being nice being nice kind guilty sorry etc etc

Because they are the 'fun' kind of feminists. They go for the virtue signalling easy wins such as #metoo hashtags and standing in front of neon signs which say 'well behaved women don't make history', and how empowering it is to have sex with multiple men a day for a few quid.

When it comes to things which actually
help women they don't give a fuck, and especially if that means a man won't get what he wants. Misogynistic 'hate' is so common that it doesn't even register with these people, who are too busy screeching about 'transphobia' to hear anyway. As long as they are saying the right things and look woke, women can fuck off as far as they are concerned.

Owen Jones has signed that letter the misogynistic little prick.

Yes, this exactly.

I feel like this is the problem with the Labour Party generally at the moment, not just on this issue. They would throw anyone under the bus if they thought it would make them look good.
