The discussion of gender self-id and what that might mean for very hard-won women’s rights, as well as the rapidly growing number of children exploring gender identity issues, is contentious. 2/3

We know some people would like us to simply censor this entire debate but a similar number think we censor too much. We’re committed to allowing respectful discussion of an issue that is of particular interest to parents. 3/3

How does a young, white male nowadays deal with the need to rage against authority but also manage the uncomfortable fact that he has bundles of privilege?

Boom - identify as Transgender. No need to actually make a permanent change to your body - just slap on some lipstick and dye your hair blue and voila! Suddenly they’re a poor marginalised person who is praised for their absolute struggle and every tiny move is applauded as brave and stunning.

The fact that posters keep shrieking about “hate speech” and “literal violence” on here whilst managing to not provide proof of any posts displaying said hate, speaks volumes...
