Thousands of deaths associated with drugs given to trans children.

Really important piece including many of the issues we have discussed here before.

I'd still like to know exactly what a 'trans child' is.

The agency has recordeded_ more than 41,000 adverse events reported with their use between 2013 and June 30, 2019.*

More than 26,000 of the events associated with the two hormone blockers, Leuprolide acetate and triptorelin (which includes Lupron and similar drugs used by clinics), were classified by the federal agency as “serious,” including 6,370 deaths. The drugs, which dramatically lower testosterone and estrogen levels in the body, are linked to life-threatening blood clots and other complaints, include brittle bones and joint pain.

*Michael Laidlaw, an endocrinologist from Rocklin, California, testified before the British House of Lords on the issue of “transgender health care” in May. Laidlaw told the Register, “These drugs actually induce a known disease in previously hormonally healthy children.”

Puberty blockers, he explained, interfere with normal signals between the brain and the sex organs, thereby creating a disease state called hypogonadotropic hypogonadism in youths. “It’s a serious condition that endocrinologists would normally diagnose and treat because it interferes with development, but in [gender dysphoria] cases they’re inducing this disease state,” Laidlaw said.*

This is not a gentle pause. This is active harm to the body. The article counties to describe the active harm done to the brain and IQ levels too.

So, treatment given to trans children is causing disease in otherwise healthy children? It's scandalous, why on earth is the NHS allowing it?

Juells · 20/09/2019 14:24

@Charley50
I find it really shocking (though not in the least surprising) that there is so much media focus on the parents protesting in Birmingham protesting being 'bigoted homophobic Muslims', when so many people are against the transgender ideology being taught, for a bloody good reason! It almost seems like a way to stop other parents speaking out somehow.

I've really felt that as well, when I saw Jess Phillips there saying that the teaching was compulsory. Have people actually looked at what's being taught to children?

endofthelinefinally · 20/09/2019 14:33

The reporting of the Birmingham protest is a carefully edited distraction technique.

NeurotrashWarrior · 20/09/2019 14:33

This is all the actual guidance.

www.gov.uk/government/publications/relationships-education-relationships-and-sex-education-rse-and-health-education

However, there are many, many, individual charities and organisations coming up with actual teaching resources.

As a teacher myself, I know that I tend to go for the resources that look great rather than actually double checking if it's actual statutory requirements. If I were pshe lead I'd probably pay closer attention but if the Head has okayed a pack or programme we just follow that.

Schools trust content provided by respected places. Eg stonewall. The snazzy new no outsiders website is no coincidence.

Just throwing in here what is on the National Education Union's website:
neu.org.uk/advice/supporting-trans-and-gender-questioning-students

They recommend certain sites including mermaids.

Secondary RSE:

The Law
It is important to know what the law says about sex, relationships and young people, as well as broader safeguarding issues. This includes a range of important facts and the rules regarding sharing personal information, pictures, videos and other material using technology. This will help young people to know what is right and wrong in law, but it can also provide a good foundation of knowledge for deeper discussion about all types of relationships. There are also many different legal provisions whose purpose is to protect young people and which ensure young people take responsibility for their actions.
Pupils should be made aware of the relevant legal provisions when relevant topics are being taught, including for example:
• marriage
• consent, including the age of consent
• violence against women and girls
• online behaviours including image and information sharing (including ‘sexting’, youth-produced sexual imagery, nudes, etc.)
• pornography
• abortion
• sexuality
• gender identity
• substance misuse
• violence and exploitation by gangs
• extremism and radicalisation
• criminal exploitation (for example, through gang involvement or ‘county lines’ drugs operations)
• hate crime
• female genital mutilation (FGM)

Doesn't exactly define the actual law though.

6,370 deaths

I was aware of the tens of thousands of adverse reactions reported to the FDA regarding these drugs.

I was not aware of just how many of those adverse reactions were deaths.

Anyone who supports transing children will have blood on their hands. Enough pretending this is a harmless or neutral position to take. It is actively harmful, its cheerleaders downright evil.

By the way Mumsnet, your habit of removing posts pointing out this evil makes you complicit in it.

TammySwansonTwo · 20/09/2019 14:57

These drugs ruined my life and my health and it doesn’t matter how many times I try and speak about it, there are plenty of people who do not want to hear it.

Unfortunately this will be dismissed as right wing religious propaganda.

NeurotrashWarrior · 20/09/2019 15:03

Thanks Tammy, I heard you and repeat your stories.

That's just crazy.

I understand why some people won't believe it, because it is almost impossible to believe that there wouldn't be a huge outcry and worry in the medical community, given how little it takes for something to be pulled in other instances.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 20/09/2019 15:11

And people get hysterical over giving a child a bloody immunisation...

Rachelover60 · 20/09/2019 15:19

This doesn't surprise me. It's scandalous and so terribly sad for the kids concerned.

HandsOffMyRights · 20/09/2019 15:23

Horrific.
I firmly believe the school in Birmingham was purposely targeted by Moffatt.

HandsOffMyRights · 20/09/2019 15:27

He is celebrated by many eduçators and influencers in Birmingham.

He kicked off PRIDE in Birmingham I believe.

Locally, it's put Jess Philips on the map too. She's my friend's MP but replied to say she couldn't make the WPUK/Fairplay meeting as she was meeting Amnesty. The irony.

CharlieParley · 20/09/2019 16:56

Let's also remember that the treatment approach developed by the Dutch clinic who pioneered the use of puberty blockers required combining blockers with intense and lengthy psychological support aimed to help reconcile the child with its sex.

Any use of puberty blockers without exploring the possible causes of the child presenting with gender dysphoria and without attempting to resolve the underlying issues does not use these blockers as intended, ie to pause puberty while attempting to deal with the gender dysphoria.

The way it is used now - to attempt to deal with the gender dysphoria through the use of puberty blockers - is nonsensical. I am not surprised that this makes the kids feel worse.

It's like putting a plaster on a festering wound without dealing with the infection itself.

Michelleoftheresistance · 20/09/2019 17:10

Oh God Sad

I mean it was obvious this was a risk, but to see it confirmed is terrible.

BeMoreMagdalen · 20/09/2019 17:23

Despicable.

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 20/09/2019 17:38

to see it confirmed is terrible.

Yes. Never have I wanted to be wrong so much.

But we are right on this.

Some medics are speaking out, we need more to do so.

happydappy2 · 20/09/2019 18:10

There is no such thing as a trans child, it’s really that simple. ALL children must go through puberty to mature and understand their sexuality. The quicker we can get Mermaids & stonewall out of schools and away from children the better.

youkiddingme · 20/09/2019 18:42

Is there any way to get to the original FDA data, please? I can't seem to get to it from the article linked.

Orangepearl · 20/09/2019 18:50

Of course it’s bad for them! This is just one of the reasons women are offered HRT as lack of oestrogen destroys your bones amongst other things! Testosterone provides bone growth what could possibly go wrong!

I don’t know about climate protests people should be seriously speaking up about this child abuse.

Some of it I fear will be a M by proxy state induced by the parents to gain attention!?

ScrimshawTheSecond · 20/09/2019 19:37

youkiddingme, if you click the link to the FDA site and then put in 'Lupron', you get the figures, including deaths. I don't know what other drugs may be included in the story/figures.

youkiddingme · 20/09/2019 20:06

Brilliant, thank you ScrimshawTheSecond

You're welcome. I think the links don't work because you have to tick the box and agree to the disclaimer before you can access the site directly.

In addition to all this:

Re Lupron, one report stated that such is the toxicity that medical professionals are advised to wear gloves to handle it.

Even more concerning is the recommendation that they avoid contact with pregnant women for up to 3 months AFTER handling it!

The implications of children thus being prescribed this whilst their mothers or relatives are pregnant are horrific as birth defects are apparently one such side-effect of mere contact with other people who are taking it.

Shocking to think that Mermaids - and worse, people who are unlicensed prescribing or sourcing - are allowing/encouraging children to start courses of such a toxic drug without fully advising on the associated risks to these children, but also to others around them.

Mermaid encourage children to take these drugs without parental consent or knowledge too; thus extending the reach of potential complications to friends, relatives and teaching staff.
