I don't think we should be sad really, very few of us knew this extraordinary woman, but we all heard her words.
We should be pleased that Magdalen existed, that it's possible to be truthful and funny and honest and human and whole for however long. We're all for the grave ultimately.
I don't think she'd want to be deified, she was without artifice, I think she'd be very pleased though if the message got out and people took courage from her just to speak out. To tell the truth.
