No idea how to link it properly

I've been talking with friends today and what we all had in common (apart from our deep admiration and support of Magdalen) was that we recognised that without her we'd have never have know each other and the sense of solidarity and unity we have.
Raising a glass to you Magdalen with deep gratitude

I still find it difficult to think that such a strong spirit isn't with us.
On another note, I wonder if the Guardian will do an obituary?

I have a photo of myself with her. I told her it would be as iconic as one with Germaine Greer back in the seventies. She roared with laughter but I meant every word.

I've been looking at that picture and thinking how many thousands and thousands of pictures there should have been of her laughing with other feminists and after other meetings and I find myself overwhelmed with sadness.

I'm a lot older than her and the thought that she was cut off so terribly young has made me really grief stricken. I know I didn't really know her but I seem to have lost my sangfroid. I've gone all weepy.

She was an inspirational woman and I will miss her so much despite never having met her. Thank you Magdalen 💜

@Prawnofthepatriarchy - how old was she? I thought about 24? Life is very unfair. She shouldn't have been taken so young.

I don't think we should be sad really, very few of us knew this extraordinary woman, but we all heard her words.

We should be pleased that Magdalen existed, that it's possible to be truthful and funny and honest and human and whole for however long. We're all for the grave ultimately.

I don't think she'd want to be deified, she was without artifice, I think she'd be very pleased though if the message got out and people took courage from her just to speak out. To tell the truth.

It's true that she didn't want people to feel sorry for her. But it's still upsetting to lose a person as ground breaking as she was.

I'm sad ILikeYourHairyHands because a brilliant woman has been taken in her prime. She will be deified and she deserves to be. She was standing up for women when she was at Edinburgh University and she got no end of shit for it - she made her videos at enormous personal cost.
