(At one point it says it is for Labour Party Conference delegates and later on it says it is a public meeting.)

A Woman’s Place is at Conference
Public Meeting in Brighton
Monday 23 September 2019 (Venue to be announced)
Doors open at 6:30pm, for 7.00pm start.

Woman's Place UK (WPUK) invites Labour Party Conference delegates to hear speakers discuss the WPUK Manifesto, focusing on women's issues. Half the tickets are available for FREE to Labour Party members.

Speaker biographies:
Dani Ahrens Founding member of Brighton Pride, a lifelong Labour activist, tweets as @rebelyarns
Onjali Rauf Founder and CEO of 'Making Herstory'
Kay Green "Socialist policy must always be based on reality." Kay Green is a socialist activist, supporting gender-critical voices on the political left.
Kiri Tunks Woman's Place UK founder (Chair)

Woman’s Place UK was founded in September 2017 to ensure women’s voices would be heard in the consultation on proposals to change the Gender Recognition Act. We had 5 demands and we didn’t expect the campaign to last more than 3-4 months.

Thanks to the support and actions of thousands of people all over the UK we had a big collective impact on the debate and, while we don’t expect to hear the results of the consultation yet, we know that the government has heard the voices of thousands of women.

At the same time, the debate has exposed the poor state of women’s rights in the UK. We have decided therefore to develop a broader campaign on the foundations we have built.

We will keep up the pressure on the government around the GRA and on councils and organisations to uphold equality law.

But there are other battles we need to fight too.

So we have made some New Year Resolutions to help us broaden the campaign in 2019:

Jeeezus

"Full solidarity with David who took the time to attend an impromptu show of of support for trans members intimidated by Women’s Place.

He had a bucket of water thrown over him as did other allies. An absolute credit to @AngelaRayner’s team."

And here is one of Sarah's articles:

Michelleoftheresistance · 27/09/2019 16:41

Sarah's getting it explained to her in words of one syllable in the comments....

SunsetBeetch · 27/09/2019 17:18

Who is Gary Spedding? He has a blue tick.

"Full solidarity to David. He is an exceptional individual doing fantastic work for @AngelaRayner and a credit to all LGBT+ people.

Your attempt to single this person out and go after their job is despicable and continued threats against trans women is vile."

twitter.com/GarySpedding/status/1177559683785265153?s=19

"Really glad you recognise that harassing and denying the legitimacy of Trans women is a form of misogyny. Toxic masculinity needs to end and so does trans exclusionary ideology."

twitter.com/GarySpedding/status/1177565658298703873?s=19

"The meeting of a transphobic organisation that is doing massive harm to trans women.

Misogyny = prejudice and hatred of women. Trans women are women.

Working to erode the rights of trans women is a form of patriarchy and toxic masculinity."

SunsetBeetch · 27/09/2019 17:59

More from this Sarah Wooley idiot.

"I am so incredibly proud of how many busy people dropped everything to show up and support trans sisters at #twt19 #lab19 (and it’s always the women these hate groups go after.)

They know solidarity is winning and it panics them. Desperate tactics."

twitter.com/Sarah_Woolley/status/1177558477281120257?s=19

Transphobes: my mentions are filtered so you might as well go shit in the ocean. ✌🏻💗

twitter.com/Sarah_Woolley/status/1177560378135498752?s=19

PS some people say the water was thrown by residents so just to clarify the main point:

Women’s Place are described as bigots by many and are considered no more welcome than the National Front.

✌🏻✨🏳️‍🌈💕

bd67th · 27/09/2019 18:35

Sarah Woolley: it’s always the women these hate groups go after.

We've noticed. Transmen are not demanding entrance into men's spaces and calling "bigots" those who say no.

When dealing with narcissists, every accusation is an admission. Sarah Woolley has just admitted that trans privilege activists are targetting women.

CodenameVillanelle · 27/09/2019 18:52

Sarah Woolley has just called a bunch of feminists, many of them lesbian, some of them WOC, as unwelcome as the national front. Please let that haunt her in years to come.

littlbrowndog · 27/09/2019 19:05

May your cape for cock crusade continue 😂😂🤣🤣🤣

One of the comments from the twitter feed 🔥🔥

littlbrowndog · 27/09/2019 19:06

She did codename she really did say that

What’s happened to people’s brains.

Stoped using them by the look of it

SunsetBeetch · 27/09/2019 19:16

Tee hee
‘Get Jeremy Corbyn to denounce QueerAF Brighton as a misogynistic hate group’

Alltheprettyseahorses · 27/09/2019 19:18

I am absolutely raging about this. Violence from an actual Labour staffer, blatant lies from Labour officers and absolute silence from Labour. That man who was arrested for attacking Jess Phillips' office - well he absolutely should have been, yet the rank hypocrisy of what Labour has itself done is turning my stomach. I've written to my invisible MP to demand condemnation.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 27/09/2019 19:25

That petition- is that another one? What happened to the other one?

littlbrowndog · 27/09/2019 19:40

So the Sarah Woolley is saying also that protesters had buckets of water thrown over them

Do women when going ro ameeting take buckets of water with them 🤣🤣🤣

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 27/09/2019 20:03

I hadn’t thought of that! Buckets of water are heavy and sloshy (I only know from washing the car). Did the have them in their handbags then?

SunsetBeetch · 27/09/2019 20:16

That's a counter petition Fekko

SunsetBeetch · 27/09/2019 20:18

This isn't going away. No matter how much the other side lie and smear. I feel like this could be a pivotal moment. PUUUULLLLLL

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 27/09/2019 20:22

Duuuuuh. I need to put my glasses on!

testing987654321 · 27/09/2019 20:37

I thought I read that the buckets of water came from residents living above the venue, surprised they weren't phoning the police about the disturbance. I wonder if any of them did?

teawamutu · 27/09/2019 20:48

Of course the meeting attendees brought the buckets. Hidden inside their LITERAL VIOLENCE W:AF tee shirts, right next to the stickers with razor blades underneath and probably also they looked at the cows and turned the milk funny. Or something.

SunsetBeetch · 27/09/2019 20:53

That would be the most logical explanation, testing

I too wonder if the residents did or have complained. Obviously they were annoyed and I can't say I blame them.

CodenameVillanelle · 27/09/2019 23:03

The water came from above. It was not anyone connected with the meeting, I guarantee that 100%.
I imagine that the residents probably called the police but they were already there, and already decided they were not going to prevent the protest.

womanontheedgeoftime · 28/09/2019 07:21

trans privilege activists

This is a useful phrase thank you.

WomanBornNotWorn · 28/09/2019 11:01

The venue is a self contained unit on ground floor and basement (where we were). The flats above are separate. There is no over head space accessible from the venue.

The water came from the flats.

Apart, of course, from the water thrown at women attending by protestors.

Oldstyle · 28/09/2019 11:12

Several LP women who were at the conference have said that there was a lot of support from delegates when they were handing out WPUK leaflets. They are incandescent. Maybe this will backfire on the activists? I desperately hope so but we all need to keep the pressure up. Please email your MP to ask them to condemn the violence and the police inaction.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 28/09/2019 12:39

It will backfire when their mums (not so much dads I suspect) see it. Generation gap, eh?

JustTurtlesAllTheWayDown · 28/09/2019 15:02

It appears someone's put up a petition calling for Jeremy Corbyn to denounce Queer AF as a hate group. There's certainly a lot more evidence than for WPUK..
