Wow Shock

OvaHere · 07/09/2019 21:29

At this rate Boris and JRM will have to cover all the positions between them.

This constant turnover of ministers has been to the absolute detriment of women.

If only one woman had stayed in place over the last three years, surely she'd have been able to see through the self-ID bullshit?

But because of the high turnover of ministers, they never get to the root of transgender ideology and its impact on women.

Maybe the next one will be able to think logically?

Still, presumably it means that self-ID is booted even further into the long grass.

Inebriati · 07/09/2019 21:33

Not if Labour get in it won't be.

TeamUnicorn · 07/09/2019 21:42

Bloody hell.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

LangCleg · 07/09/2019 21:45

Bloody hell.

Women's rights aside, our democracy only works because it's supposed to have tension between a coherent government and a coherent opposition. We have both government and opposition riven with uncontrollable internal conflicts so cannot provide this necessary function.

We're in for a rough ride.

PrimalLass · 07/09/2019 21:46

We need another government full stop

Melroses · 07/09/2019 21:47

Where are we going to get one from though?

Popchyk · 07/09/2019 21:48

Well, Labour would need to win a general election to go forward with self-ID.

Which, despite the worst Conservative government in living memory, seems unlikely.

Tories extend lead over Labour to 10% despite chaotic week

Labour is reacting to Johnson's utterly inept handling of Brexit by ignoring it all and focusing instead on declaring civil war within the party.

Government is in melt down.
I am heartened by the Tories who are refusing to go along with this.

Johnson can’t go on. He’s surely toast.

Cuntysnark · 07/09/2019 21:57

I’m mightily confused right now. Send help.

I cannot believe that after 25 years as a Labour voter and the omnishambles of Brexit I'm actively hoping we don't get a Labour government because Brexit is bad, but losing women's most basic rights would be even worse.

What. The. Fuck. Is. HAPPENING?

Popchyk · 07/09/2019 22:11

This will just provoke Johnson into more lies, more hubris, more bullshit cobblers. A hundred thousand police officers to be recruited this time. Oh, and we'll declare war on Belgium over some made-up bollocks.

Same MO as Trump.

When something goes badly, just tell another bigger lie, create another bigger distraction. Johnson will turf out Larry the cat and replace him with a donkey or some such.

As a response to Johnson's declaration of war on Belgium, the Labour Party's only act will be to issue an official list of approved pronouns for all combatants.

Burnernamechange · 07/09/2019 22:14

Popchyk Grin

Will we allowed to borrow 'she/her' if we ask the brave and stunning women really nicely...?

RedToothBrush · 07/09/2019 22:40

Johnson can’t go on. He’s surely toast.

He's up in the polls tonight...

... You just aren't seeing what's happening from every perspective. Some people think Johnson is showing leadership and doing the right thing.

Not me, but I do understand the propaganda and political trucks being used.

It's straight from the authoritarian play book.

What do you think Dilyn the Rescue Dog is all about?

OP posts:
PhonicTheHedgehog · 07/09/2019 22:48

Shall we form a government?

There are probably rules and shiz but y’know it can’t be that difficult.

We are already one up on most of the current crop in knowing what a woman is.

TeamUnicorn · 07/09/2019 23:00

phonic tiens we will be the government we can just make our own laws up and if people object we will just do it anyway.

I may or may not be mid way through St Clare's

Popchyk · 07/09/2019 23:01

It was a reference to Dilyn, Red.

And Johnson's PR success with the dog will no doubt result in Johnson deciding to leverage more pet-related stories in the media. Don't ditch a winning formula.

Anyways, I'm totally up for forming a government.

Only if I am promised the Womxyn and Equalities Minister gig though.

BeMoreMagdalen · 07/09/2019 23:02

I believe the handcart is full. We shall hitherto be running scheduled flights to hell for the entire country...

BeMoreMagdalen · 07/09/2019 23:03

Actually, my hitherto should have been a henceforth. Even my wit is half what it used to be.

aliasundercover · 07/09/2019 23:07

Well Theresa May was PM for most of those three years. I’m sfraid that too many women are complicit in this.
