This article breaks all of MN rules but I hope it is still OK to post it. Please warn me if you think there's a problem. I want to avoid the naughty step this time around.
I won't quote directly from it as it consistently "misgenders" JY.

The judge/member in the BCHR case called him 'he'.
His mother called him 'he'.

Both on video.

The people that answer the phone when he calls the cops call him 'Sir'.

Also on video. Several times.

I think we can surmise that he is a he.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 23/08/2019 09:42

yaniv is as trans as caitlyn jenner, as trans as blaire white, as trans as jayne fae

which is not to imply of course that those individuals share his unpleasant proclivities

so I don't really understand why correct pronouns for yaniv are allowed but not for those other individuals

yaniv is also as trans as jessica winfield (nee martin ponting), katie dolotawski, chloe walker (nee brandon)

we are allowed to correctly sex them according to the 'women must be nice' rules that MNHQ like to enforce, because they've been sufficiently naughty to be cast out

the whole thing is a fucking mess and nicely highlights the pickle you can get yourself in pandering to narcissists

you can end up deleting a post by a vulnerable, abused woman who can't get to a refuge she feels safe at because there are males there, on the basis that she was mean to a male on a feminist forum

for for fucks sake

I'm sorry, this is very off topic. but it's on my mind this morning

Funnily enough BernardBlacksWineIceLolly it’s almost like MN has us walking on eggshells ya know...

NotBadConsidering · 23/08/2019 09:54

The judge/member in the BCHR case called him 'he'. His mother called him 'he'.

That’s good enough for me.

It’s a funny old world.

I stood next to a very tall personage yesterday. I’m not exactly short and I came up to their shoulder. Flowers shirts and blouse, sandals, many rings on their fingers, grown out ‘shirt haircut’ (so about 4 inches in length all over) and eyeliner. Heavy build (like a rugby player). Rather smug expression.

Now am I supposed to believe that this was a woman - and should be in woman only spaces? Or believe them to be a transvestite (more likely than a transsexual in this instance)? I cannot ask, can I? I can’t challenge them in a woman only space, can I? I can’t even say miss/missus/mr/he/she for fear of offending said person or possibly getting threatened.

Why are women being so treated, as to fear men who are aping them? What’s the deal? We have to pretend/go along with - to what extent?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 23/08/2019 10:06

Excuse typos - not wearing my glasses.

HandsOffMyRights · 23/08/2019 10:28

Imagine being a journalist working on the White story and having to write 'Her penis.'

I've previously had a post pulled for using a particular pronoun with J. Bradley. Yet didn't JB also appear on a Companies House style register under two names - one as Jess and another that may be more traditionally associated with one particular sex. A sex class that I do not belong to (have I covered my back sufficiently MN?)

DanaPhoenix · 23/08/2019 11:36

*Imagine being a journalist working on the White story and having to write "her penis".

That about sums up the lunacy, doesn't it? From my media experience (back in the day local paper advertising) stories were checked by sub editors to help avoid "errors", I like to think that some rebellious journalists correctly sex, but I suspect that fear of dramas with woke colleagues prevents them from doing so.

In fairness though, despite the blatant misogyny from the Twitter PTB, I can't help feeling that the photo is a result of JY taking an opportunity. Not the first time JY has tried it. Although since there hasn't been any distancing statement does give me pause.

On the bright side happy to see Meghan Murphy get some media exposure. I was lamenting on another thread how some are jumping on the JY bandwagon while she still remains banned by Twitter.

I too question the decision to still police JY's pronouns here, especially when twitter are letting the he/hims flow.

sackrifice · 23/08/2019 11:43

Why do the monitors think that every time we say he they need to get it deleted?

It is very telling male behaviour to keep shutting women up.

heathspeedwell · 23/08/2019 11:44

I thought we were allowed to use male pronouns if there was evidence that someone has clearly acted in a nefarious manner?

Having seen the videos JY sent to Jessica Rumpel, talking about her 'titties' in the Elmo voice, there is no question that JY engaged in sexual conversations with a 14 year old child. JY says her name repeatedly.

JY also says JY didn't want to wait till she was 16 and JY asked her to send him photos of her used tampons and pads. Jessica Rumpel was a lonely teenager with strict parents and a very restricted social life. She felt sorry for JY and used to have regular correspondence with JY (who claimed to want to marry her) until she found out that JY was literally cutting and pasting messages and sending them to plenty of other underage girls.

I'm really hoping that more and more people will come forward with their evidence of JY's behaviour. It is the sort of the behaviour that is generally only linked to one sex.

NotBadConsidering · 23/08/2019 11:45

I also find it strange that certain monitors, like Mimmymum, never link to threads about Yaniv as examples of Mumsnet “transphobia”. Funny that Hmm.

GirlDownUnder · 23/08/2019 11:52

certain monitors, like Mimmymum, never link to threads about Yaniv

And certain of our regular posters never comment on JY threads. Although they’re very active on threads to make sure they are just presenting another view and to save us from being an echo chamber.

I echo your Hmm

AnyFucker · 23/08/2019 11:54

Yaniv is male

GirlDownUnder · 23/08/2019 11:54

Re JY pronouns - please ignore my earlier posts, seems I was totally wrong. Sorry for the bum steer Brew

GirlDownUnder · 23/08/2019 11:55

Ha AF, awesome cross post

nettie434 · 23/08/2019 12:10

Yes, it’s a complete mystery Confused Of course it is frustrating to feel forced to use a pronouns if one disagrees with the premise that personal pronouns are a person’s choice. Of course it is equally irritating that Twitter is not fair in its policies on hate speech. When Megan Murphy was banned a tweeter asked why his complaint about a jihadi beheading video had been ignored for over a fortnight.

However, how much more frustrating to be a TRA activist getting caught up knots over the ‘acceptance without exception’ policy. People like JY, our favourite cyclist and Karen White have really helped raise public awareness. I welcome any articles about them using their desired pronouns in the mainstream media simply because it helps counter the one sided perspective from Mermaids, Stonewall etc.

DanaPhoenix · 23/08/2019 12:37

Yes it is funny. Those monitors choose to ignore particular threads.
I guess the cognitive dissonance would cause quite the migraine 🤔

DickKerrLadies · 23/08/2019 12:49

Posts/threads will generally only be deleted if reported. MNHQ have enough to do dealing with reports (not just from FWR) without trawling threads looking for wrongthink posts that break guidelines.

If posts referring to Yaniv as 'he' are not being deleted is it safe to assume they are not being reported?

If that is the case, it suggests that at least some of our monitors would like to distance themselves from Yaniv - aka 'not true trans'. But I'm sure that's not true given their dislike of 'gatekeeping'.

Very odd indeed!

DoctorTwo · 23/08/2019 15:10

The last two times I posted my opinions on Yaniv I got deleted.

sashh · 23/08/2019 15:24

I'm currently in twitter jail because I stated that if you have a penis and you want tohave des with someone with a vagina you are not a lesbian.

But as Twitter doesn't include 'sex' as a protected characteristic in its policy for enforcement, "the behavior is directed at an individual, group, or protected category of people" but does include gender I have submitted a claim for sex discrimination, I've linked to Meghan's article as an example of Twitter discriminating against women.

Ornery · 23/08/2019 15:27

Having been banned from twitter on account of JY (and MO - I posted his ad for IT stalkers to set up his social media spying service to gather evidence to target dissenting women legally) I don’t think I should comment. But this thread is gold.

EllenRipley · 23/08/2019 15:40

Thanks for posting this link. And to you @TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross, for the Orwell quote.

I have posted both on my FB page, just to see how many virtue signallers unfriend me by teatime.

GirlDownUnder · 23/08/2019 15:49

Hope you don’t get too burned on FB, sometimes you get surprised. MN will be here regardless.

EllenRipley · 23/08/2019 16:03

Thanks @GirlDownUnder
Have been unfriended twice (that I know of) in the last year and called a bigot 🤔 - by folk I thought knew me better. I only post the odd thing about this issue. The positive is that it's given some friends the courage to agree and speak out too, though equally there are some who can't even like or comment on posts as it puts their jobs at risk.

It's madness ☹️
