They're embroiled in a bit if poopy at the minute if the farms are anything to go by.

Yes, Twitter blue ticks are there to confirm the account belongs to the celebrity it claims to be... I guess if JY has lost their tick then Twitter must either think JY isn't a celebrity or they must not be convinced that JY is who JY says JY is...

Would having a tick remove then indicate they were distancing from Yaniv and that Yaniv no longer has 'special status'.

Should that also mean that a review of those Yaniv has got banned might be on the cards soon?

Yes looks like they are trying to distance themselves. I saw people on twitter say they were now getting answers to their reports about this person and that this person had been getting locked out due to breaking the rules. None of this was happening before the recent developments ie this person was allowed to get away with anything before and anything who questioned this person was reprimanded.

Let's not forget who enabled and supported JY.

It's exhausting using this person instead of pronouns but I refuse to allow such an individual to appropriate female pronouns.

Who ever decided Yaniv was a celebrity? Insane.

Isn't a blue tick just to confirm (or not, as the case may be) that an account that is of public interest is authentic.

It doesn't convey any "celebrity status" and surely when an individual's tweets are (quite rightly) under a high degree of scrutiny it's helpful to have some confidence that the individual tweeting is genuinely JY.

Unless JY had been hacked, or someone's pretending to be JY & managed to convince Twitter they're really JY... That's seems to happen a lot to JY.

Why does he still have so many followings/followers? (Yes, I know they are all fake). I thought twitter only allowed that for those with blue ticks?
