Look at the ratio on that tweet - I wonder how many of those comments are giving Yaniv what for?

They incriminate themselves on twitter so often I do hope they don't get banned. If JY does get a ban it will be a clear signal that the trans army have recognized them as a liability and want to reduce exposure.

Either Yaniv was a-ok or he wasn’t. He’s been behaving abusively towards women since I’ve been aware of him. So why are Twitter disowning him now?

Because it has become untenable for them to pretend he isn't a predatory creep now some main stream media sites, the RCMP, even fellow creep Ogre are denouncing him.

I have no idea as to whether he did or didn't have a blue tick, or how commonly such ticks are handed out to people of minor celebrity/notoriety as I avoid social media like the plague so can't comment on that aspect. I do know arse covering when I see it though.

JY has now had several complaints and reports for hate speech and violations of Twitter rules upheld against them, after a certain number of those, the person loses their verified status.

Correcting problematic grammar is always worthwhile and the sentence
his having been exposed as a horrible pervert bears repeating as a useful pointer to the correct use of his/him.

I can’t remember if JY did have a blue tick. Technically, Cohle is right that they are meant to confer that the account is genuinely that person but as it is celebrities and politicians who are most likely to have parody accounts, it is often conflated with being a sleb.

I have spent months being angry that the mainstream media haven’t called JY out. I am pleased this is finally happening but also resent that it took them so long. They have no choice because this is the logical consequence of ‘acceptance without exception’. It will suit activists to now say ‘ok there is an exception’ but they are only distancing themselves from JY now, even though they must have been aware of all the concerns being voiced against JY ages ago when they were so delighted that Meghan Murphy and many others got banned from Twitter.

As GirlDownUnder says, I don't think Yaniv ever did have a blue tick on Twitter. He did, and still does, have one on Facebook though.
