How did anyone get convicted before the advent of phones? This is such an egregious violation of a right to privacy.

@tisonlymeagain yeah, that's very good evidence for coercive charges. I've not heard of many cases where people have been successfully charged for that as it's relatively new legislation. I'm pleased your friend managed to get the person charged. Things like that slowly restore my faith in the judicial system.

Still, what of women who do have mention of criminal activity on their phones?

People commit low level crime all the time.

You seem totally unwilling to accept that

The police are ever anything than fair, and a force for good, doing the right thing

Or that

Insisting on phones will deter women and girls from reporting rapes

What of that?

On this thread and in the article there are plenty of examples where this approach has acted against common sense /proportionality / has put victims off engaging with criminal justice system.

I don't understand your point of view. You can see no issues with that whatsoever.

Just stop, I was giving examples of my situation.

stilldontgiveaf · 26/07/2019 15:29

@Fraggling you know what actually. I'm fed up of being diplomatic towards you.

If you don't understand my point of view then simply fuck off. I've tried to explain why. I'm sick of your fucking comments and you probably have no idea what it's like to go through something like that.

So fuck you.

Fraggling · 26/07/2019 17:59

You have no idea what I may or may not have been through.

I am sorry that this crime comitted against you and he got off.

I just don't understand how you can read that article and support the police actions in those cases. That's all.
