Challenor on LBC this morning

Much to my horror and surprise I heard the dulcet tones of Aimee Challenor on the Nick Ferrari show this morning. I was half asleep (school hols, forgive me!) and sat bolt upright as AC defended the suspension of the doctor recently.

Ferrari was having none of it and then went on to questin AC about the plethora of male prisoners iding as women and asked AC to comment. AC would not comment because to call these men fakers would put AC in a very awkward position. Also AC did not sound like the brightest bulb in the box - not a shock.

I was amazed that this nappy wearing furry (this is all out in the open MN btw) - roundly discredited and found lacking by the Greens - was commenting on national radio as if they are some sort of intelligent voice in this debate. Why do researchers not do their jobs properly?

Maybe the researchers are doing their job properly...

Sunlight and all that?

Gingernaut · 11/07/2019 10:27

'She's with the LibDems now.

Goes to show how devoted 'she' was to Green policies, climate change and the environment

Maybe it was a calculated move on the part of the researchers - you could be right. AC did harm to their cause that's for sure. They sounded dense and slippery all at the same time.

The more batshit the movement gets and the more people find out about it, the more people are peaktransed.

Although Nick did trot out the 'poor people who are born in the wrong body' stuff...still, it felt a bit like progress.

Not sure if AC shares their fathers predilections, although they may engage in similar fetishes. I think there is a strong case for them being groomed by their father.

LizzieSiddal · 11/07/2019 11:55

I agree Turbo. No one would come out of a childhood like that, unscathed.

LangCleg · 11/07/2019 11:56

I think AC makes a great spokesperson. More of Aimee!

Needmoresleep · 11/07/2019 12:02

Aimee is on Stonewalls influential trans-advisory committee.

She has a voice, when many women don't.

Why?

LangCleg · 11/07/2019 12:06

Why?

The more interviews AC does, the more this question will be asked.

NotTerfNorCis · 11/07/2019 12:08

Ah is that so? Aimee's father has a lot to answer for. :(

koshkat · 11/07/2019 12:30

Yes AC must have had a hellish childhood and as a previous poster stated, no one could have endured living with a father like David Challenor and been unharmed.

Grrrrr! The audacity of putting oneself forward to be deputy leader of the Green Party when one is utterly ignorant of any of the environmental issues that the Party is supposed to care about. That almost pisses me off more than everything else.

I can't think of more stereotypically male behaviour

Sheheshehe · 11/07/2019 13:53

I think that AC being on the radio is absolutely fine. They do their cause a great service. Don’t know where Aimee’s political career is going but Aimee is seemingly more focussed on US politics going by their Twitter. I’m not sure whether many Coventry locals would vote for them seeing as they’re seemingly more focussed on US politics and soon to be heading Stateside to marry into a relationship with someone that is already in a relationship. Aimee has had a dreadful upbringing and many crosses to bear. It’s nice they get to be on the radio. The Greens must be lamenting the loss.

Needmoresleep · 11/07/2019 14:01

Would Aimee really give up the Stonewall gig.

They have given evidence on tg policy just about everywhere and so have had a huge impact on Government, commercial and third sector policy across the UK as well as a massive impact on the focus and priority of Stonewall itself. This has to be a far more influential role than that of any backbench MP.

I see them continuing in a trans-Atlantic, and apparently rather complex non-traditional relationship. (And earlier photo on her Twitter showed three holidaying together.)

'Unsurprisingly @NickFerrariLBC is a complete and utter farcical idiot. I go on to talk about a Doctor refusing to respect patients, he tries to talk about prisons. Self-righteous fool.'

I see that Aimee has commented on this morning's LBC appearance. Grin

A very useful phrase of my Mum's (based on a joke about a mother watching soldiers parading by) "Oh look, everyone's out of step but our Johnny". 😝

Never mind, Aimee. Perhaps if you go on a few more news shows you'll get your points across better. Don't be downhearted. Please keep up the appearances. Every little helps.

LangCleg · 11/07/2019 16:09

Bugger. Bold fail.

ThePankhurstConnection · 11/07/2019 16:12

Hear, hear I always find them so convincing.

placemats · 11/07/2019 18:00

So convincing: Let's hear and see more of Aimee.

Won the debate? No!

TacoLover · 11/07/2019 18:17

Much as I disagree with Aimee, I feel so sorry for her. I can't even imagine what it must have been like to grow up with a man like her father. I see a lot of signs of trauma in herSad

RoyalCorgi · 11/07/2019 18:19

My mum used to make a similar joke, but based on the idea of a line of chorus girls and only one being in step.

Satterthwaite · 11/07/2019 18:22

Trans Atlantic are real Atlantics

placemats · 11/07/2019 18:45

Taco

Do you think Aimee would rescue you from the waves?
