The more I read these tweets the worse I feel for these women and their families. This woman who is unwell herself, has a child with autism, is not fluent in English and earned $500 in a year who has to be cross-examined by JY... I'm interested to see how JY cris-examines (or "cross-examines") her husband and the dynamics there.
So far his questioning of the victim (defendant but really, the women are victims here) is about validation of himself as a martyr. Not a simple victim of discrimination, but a glorified one. I'm almost - not there yet though! - feeling bad for JY. He's obviously mentally unstable and while on some level intelligent (or brazen?) enough to work rules to get MM banned etc and file other legal complaints with a view to settling out of court, he's clearly, from his "cross-examinations" and general attitude in the tribunal not that intelligent.
I cannot see how the tribunal can rule in his favour but I hope to goodness they do. If not they've gone full Handmaids Te. In fact this entire hearing is rather Atwood - although JY's script would be more coherent if it were her fiction!
