I bought a doll for a boy

So a new relative arrived a few months ago and I got to meet him a few weeks ago.

Like many others I had taken a present but the parents didn't have time to open them on the day. I'd bought a rag doll that I thought looked a bit like his dad.

A few days later, via facebook, I received a 20 second clip of new relative and his dad playing with the doll and both giggling.

I also received a really nice thank you message.

I just wanted to share because I have seen so many messages where dad's don't want their sons playing with 'girl's' toys.

Oh yes and toy pushchairs for boys to put their dolls or cuddly toys in too. Smile

My eldest loved dolls. He was three when his little brother arrived and that probably had a lot to do with it.
He was (and still is) very caring with his brother. Who knows, he might grow up and become a father someday.
My younger son started a fight in toddler group because he didn't want to share the link pushchair. He loved putting a baby doll in it and pushing it around. They both loved the play kitchen too.
Nowadays it's all Minecraft and such, which is fine by me as I'm a gamer too.
