on Sky

I didn't realise he'd been involved with Jonathan Pie as well.

(not sure if I've remembered how to do links in OP)

I was listening to an interview with him and the man who refused to sign the contract stating there were off limit topics for a comedy gig just today and fwr was namechecked!

"punching up" is such a good way of describing it.

''Andrew Doyle: 'Why I created a Twitter account mocking liberals''' is on YouTube.

ZuttZeVootEeeVro · 04/07/2019 18:17

He's been on a few podcast and always comes across and intelligent and sane.

Juells · 04/07/2019 18:31

He explains so well that all these supposed victims are actually controlling what anyone else can say.

GeordieTerf · 04/07/2019 18:41

He gets it 100%

OvaHere · 04/07/2019 19:45

That was an interesting interview. Thanks for posting Ewe

I loved this tweet from Titania about another interview Andrew Doyle did.

He is 100% right - even in my younger days where I was a lot more woke and my peers were talking about no platforming people i always argued for free speech.

The only way to defeat those extremists is to debate their arguments and find the flaws in their ideologies. Look at Nick Griffin as a prime example, I remember arguing with my friends with them saying he shouldn't be allowed on QT and I was for it as his arguments wouldn't hold up. That performance ruined his career yet people still think that you shouldn't ever give a platform to these people. Give them the mic and tear them down, show them for what they are.

This is why TRAs won't debate as their ideas won't hold up. Cowardly behaviour.

Has anyone seen any out of character interviews by the fella that plays Rachel McKinnon? I'd love to know how he comes up with the stuff for her. The photos with the pet brick and the trolling in BBC interviews still make me laugh.

I did feel a bit peeved when (in that longer interview) he and the other three guys laughed heartily at the idea of feminists on mumsnet. I thought - yeah, they're still men at the end of the day, laughing together at the idea that anything women do might matter.

I really like AwakenWithJP, which is on much the same lines - so woke he's broke.

Whisky2014 · 05/07/2019 09:19

Titania McGrath was as poster on mumsnet. They had never posted before and chose a weirdly specific topic to post on and when I questioned why they had chosen that thread specifically as their first thread to ever post on, they disappeared. I'll have to search the posts I'm on to remember what one it was.

Whisky2014 · 05/07/2019 09:22

Ah yes the hand holding is cheesey thread.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3618339-Couples-holding-hands-is-really-cheesy-beyond-the-teenage-years

I didn't like anything they posted. Weird weird weird.

Whisky2014 · 05/07/2019 09:30

Eye and just out of pure coincidence there's this thread in which "therealtitaniamcgrath" has posted and yet every single post they made has been deleted.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/eu_referendum_2016_/3627552-reasons-as-to-why-you-voted-leave

Something's going on. And I don't like it.

Whisky2014 · 05/07/2019 09:32

And again that's the only post they've ever posted on under that name. Interesting.

Just so I'm clear, 3 men for whom Mumsnet is a punchline in and of itself, is that punching up or punching down?
