I was stumbling around twitter when I came across this little incident, and I was intrigued because it's the first time I've seen working class lads in a twitter spat with the armies of the woke.

This young lad does a (pretty unkind) tweet about rejecting a transwoman on tinder, because they have a penis.

There is a massive pile on, and of cause they try to get him sacked. Hilariously given he plays for a local 7 aside amateur team. The "club" issue statements, which are pounced on. The guy says he's lost his job and home, which is met with glee. He's totally trolling them. Other teams in the league join in, leading the Woke on a merry dance. How can they not tell? HOW??

He then issues an "apology" where he tackles the double standards of hundreds of people attacking him for his looks, telling him to die (!!) Etc. Including, Blair White, an American transwomen and TRA.(watch White be destroyed by Magdaline Burns here:

The guy defends his sexual preferences too, and his right to hold those preferences. And I was put in mind of the James Kirkup blog today. Dommy was called a transphobe for rejecting a person based on the fact they have a penis.

The lad did apologise for initial tweet, which I'm glad. Personally I think he crossed the line, in a dick laddy fashion. But it's the moronic, rabid way he's attacked and how he deals with it that i think it's interesting. He's literally laughing at them and they can't tell. They are so young? So naive? But really mob like too.

The problem is, Roses, that if we use the correct sex pronouns, our posts get deleted. Like others, I won't use incorrect sex pronouns in order to not get deleted, so the compromise is to use 'they'. You could try suggesting to MNHQ that they let us use whatever pronouns we feel are appropriate and lift the ban on using correct sex pronouns for transgender people. It only applies on this part of the site. In AIBU we seem to be allowed to use whatever pronouns we want.

Roses many nb and trans people choose to use the neutral they/them themselves so there’s that. Also isn’t it safest not to assume anyone’s preferred pronoun these days regardless of outward presentation? I use it so as not to run afoul of misgendering rules here and elsewhere so as to not affirm what I perceive as a lie.

My employer ask us to use the neutral pronoun, i.e. “they”, for all communication. This has been after extensive consultation with trans students.

Correctly sexing would have avoided Geordie Lad getting a penis in his matches. And then there would have been no online piss-taking/shaming. But heaven forfend that is pointed out!

It's quite possible they keep getting kicked off for breaching Tinder rules, I've heard TRAs complaining about this oppression happening before.

As I said in my original post, he didn't have to be unkind, but he could see the rampant hypocrisy of people THEN judging his appearance ( as Blair White did), trying to wreak his career, and issuing death threats.

It reminded me of when it first went down with Jenni Murray. All the comments about her appearance, her age, it's what peaked me.

I do worry that people are being misled into believing that they will not experience any restriction in their dating pool by modifying their bodies with hormones and surgery

wanting to have sex with someone with a mixture of primary and secondary sexual characteristics from both sexes is pretty niche. which is not to say no-one will ever love them for themselves or want to have sex with them, but that's not the way online dating works, so it seems a bad place to start.

I don't think there'll be a general move to force straight men to say that they have no genital preferences and to claim that their only must-have is an "opposite gender identity". Well, not unless this stuff reaches mainstream acceptance and TRAs get a dream set of authoritarian laws passed.

It doesn’t because the word “they” can and has been used as a singular for as long as I can remember.

Maybe tinder need to add a 'do you have a penis' option to anyone checking that they are female. Its ridiculous, but there you go. Many of them simply will not check 'transwoman' so..the penis question makes more sense
