Just an aside but has there been a huge change in the demographics of who reads that paper since it went wholly on-line?

The Daily Mail used to be the most hated paper on MN, both for its content and its comments yet for a while now I've seen such a change in both whilst the truly idiotic and nasty seem to have gone to the Independent.

lilyb93 - there are plenty of people who are appalled by what happened to your sister. Lots of condolences to you and your family. If you do get around - once the pain has dulled, perhaps - to set up a campaign/petition etc, count me in too.

I too want to say how sorry I am this happened to your sister Lilyb and it was NOT her fault, this man was a horrendous creature and perhaps if we valued women and their work more as a society she wouldn't have had to deal with the likes of him. Should you wish to carry out any action or awareness be assured I would personally be happy to help and I am certain the vast majority of women on this forum would be behind you.

I know this probably doesn’t mean much, but it’s nice to know she was loved, had a life and a family that cares. You read these stories and they are so so sad. It’s important to realise there is a person of significance and consequence behind each and every tragedy.
