What's wrong with this picture?

What do you think is wrong with it?
They all appear to be white - it's kind of hard to say for sure from a screen photo. Is that it?

Tadpoletofrog · 24/06/2019 13:16

As an engineer I’ve never worn a white coat..

Flywheel · 24/06/2019 13:20

I'm intrigued. I'm also an engineer. I wore a white coat very occasionally in a previous job. Is the person on the ladder pointing a man?

Flywheel · 24/06/2019 13:21

Or a woman with short hair? No idea

Tadpoletofrog · 24/06/2019 13:21

Very lax health and safety practises on the ladders?

JamB4cream · 24/06/2019 13:21

I don't think that it's a man stood on the ladder telling all the women underneath him what to do.......its a woman with short hair...... surely?

Sportsnight · 24/06/2019 13:23

I don’t know. What do you think is wrong with it?

loveandlaughs · 24/06/2019 13:25

Fairly sure it's a man on top of the ladder...

OP posts:
TigerCubScout · 24/06/2019 13:36

I don't think it's a man.
But the women don't seem to be doing anything - except for the woman doing the admin.

Teachermaths · 24/06/2019 13:40

Short hair = man Hmm

ErrolTheDragon · 24/06/2019 14:04

Too many lab coats, all white, no computers, and only the short-haired woman in trousers not wearing pink or purple? I like pink and purple but that seems like an unrepresentative sample wearing stereotypically 'feminine' colours with one token^ maybe slightly GNC woman, evidently being mistaken as a man because she's not wearing pink or purple and^ has short hair. The whole thing is too pink and purple tbh.

Women, whether in STEM or not, don't need colour coding.Hmm

FeministCat · 24/06/2019 14:08

Fairly sure it's a man on top of the ladder...

Errrr, why do you think that?

GoulashSoup · 24/06/2019 14:10

No, they are holding something pink so surely a woman.

deydododatdodontdeydo · 24/06/2019 14:21

Yep, women don't have short hair.
It is know.
I was at a STEM conference on Friday and two separate very senior women presented, both with short hair, I guess they must have been men.

DpWm · 24/06/2019 14:22

It can't be a man because they're holding a pink folder.

ErrolTheDragon · 24/06/2019 14:30

Oh wait, I know what's wrong, they've got the men's blue microscope.

Readytogogogo · 24/06/2019 14:33

I have short hair, am I a man too?

bluebluezoo · 24/06/2019 14:36

If you’re afraid of heights STEM isn't for you?

Ladder climbing seems to be an essential.

Oh! Unless it’s a metaphor?

Spam88 · 24/06/2019 14:42

Honestly don't know why you think it's a man. Looks exactly the same as the other women except with short hair.

MondayMonday89 · 24/06/2019 14:43

They're all white and they're all wearing lab coats.

I am 1/2 Indian and never wear a lab coat.

MondayMonday89 · 24/06/2019 14:43

I used to have short hair, so I was a man, but now have long hair so am now a woman.

Still don't wear a lab coat though Grin

Readytogogogo · 24/06/2019 14:45

The preponderance of pink is a bit sad.

Tadpoletofrog · 24/06/2019 14:47

Agree with the pink. My last set of size 4 steel toe caps came with pink laces... I was less than impressed!

SmallHaddockAndChips · 24/06/2019 14:52

Why is there so much pink and purple? I work in a STEM (ish) role and mostly wear black and the equipment and materials I use are all ‘normal’ colours (by which I mean not pinkified). I may occasionally use purple clipboards and pens but also blue, green, etc. That is a very irritating and patronising advert.

The woman with short hair is probably the only part that doesn’t annoy me!

deydododatdodontdeydo · 24/06/2019 14:53

Oh wait, got it - the microscope and pencil are disproportionately large.
I am guilty of wearing a white lab coat though from time to time...
